Trade all of them away. I'm just kidding but seriously, the Reds need to get some more bats in the lineup. We need guys with power and home run threats. Not these guys that can hardly hit the ball out of the infield. The past 10 years for Reds baseball have been a joke. No reason for the garbage teams they have put on the field as of late.

I really think the starting pitching is going to need beefing up. They also need to go out and get another big bat.
The most important thing they need to do is to use there speed!!

Look at the Louisville starting lineup and it probably will resemble the Reds starting lineup next year.

Somewhere lost on me is what is gained if you develop major league talent and when they are hitting their stride you trade them away for prospects you will never be able to keep should they develop?
For the record I was NEVER in favor of getting rid of Dunn (How many 100 runs, 100 rbi, 100 walks, 40 HR players are in the majors?), and the trade with Texas for pitching that seemed so great has proven otherwise with pitching that cant stay off the DL.
Take away just those two deals and you have a batting order that includes: Hamilton, Dunn, Bruce, Votto, Rolen and Phillips.
For the most part you hit the nail right on the head!!! I did think it was the right time to trade Dunn though ! I like him and am amazed at the length of his homeruns, but I am old school and I think the reds need to work on small ball. I just didn't realize that they were going to try and play small ball only!!! The ownership and management are out of excuses, they need to put a winner on the field starting next season.

P.S. WELCOME BACK!!!!!!!!

The problem with playing small ball in GABP is it is a launching pad. When you give up outs moving runners along and for the most part playing for single run innings your pitching staff (see Harang and Arroyo) is always going to be at a disadvantage because the few single run innings the Reds generate are more than negated by opponents long balls with runners on base.
IMO if the Reds thought they were going to be putting that kind of product on the field then they should have built more of a pitchers park with deeper fences and more field area down the foul lines to keep foul balls out of the stands.
Also I havent seen much of a deliberate effort to improve team speed, especially at the top of the order. If Tavarez and Dickerson are the only base stealing threats (yeah right), it is small wonder that opposing pitchers dont feel threatened to throw more fastballs to Votto and Phillips to keep the baserunners honest.
I have to agree with you 100%!!
