Following Affliction's collapse Fedor signed a multi-fight contract with Strikeforce.[71] On August 26, 2009, Scott Coker, founder of Strikeforce, had announced at Fedor's public workout in New York City that Fedor is scheduled to fight Brett Rogers at a date later to be confirmed.[72] Coker confirmed that Emelianenko's debut date will take place in November 7 on CBS.[73]
