If the special teams coach lets them punt to Cribbs next game, fire him!!! It also seems that Palmer and his wr's aren't on the same page alot of times...

Be careful criticizing the Coaching staff in here Ironmen, while I agree with the Bengals being able to win despite the pitiful play calling and clock management thru the first 4 game many "fans" are so blinded by the wins they can't see the constant repeating of mistakes. I hope they win out the rest of the season, but when you repeatedly make poor decisions it's just a matter of time before they get bit.

Well I do agree that the off coor has called a lot of bad plays, Some good some real bad. Zimmer really has done a great job. Should have blitzed more. But to call marv a bad coach NO. That has nothing to do with marv, Marv changed the play on 4th and 10 when palmer ran for 1st. Thank god he did. He also changed some other plays that helped. Thank god we have him Or we would have not won that game.

If I remember correctly the 3 and 10 play before that Palmer 10 yd. scramble (which, by the way, was not a designed play, just everyone went into deep coverage and no one was open) was a 15 yard pass to Chad on a curl out of bounds pass that he had no chance of catching. Very low percentage play, especially for 3 and 10. When will the off. co. understand it's okay to get half the yards on 3 and 10, if you know you have to go for it on 4th down.

Good thing marv stepped in. Carson wanted the play on 4th and marv said ok. Does that mean palmer is a bad qb too. Def expects that play, Thats why they didnt do it.

Are you serious? Marvin Lewis called a play that told Carson Palmer, that after you scramble around in the pocket, and find no one open, and the coverage in the secondary all to be too deep, run for the first down. The guy is a genius!!

The wrs ran routes to open up a big hole in the middle . It worked. (genius) They didnt expect palmer to run.

I hate to bust your Marvin Lovin Bubble, but there is no play in the NFL that is designed for the QB to be flushed out of the pocket after 5 or 6 seconds and run 12 yards for a first down. That was a busted play and they got lucky.

You better call up palmer and tell him he was wrong. It was a pass play and the escape was a run instead of a dump pass because of the routes that were took. And by the way this game is over. Ravens next, Then you can bad mouth them again,If they win. It will be a harder game than pitt. And espn prasied marv for everything he has done on coaches conner. But i sure they dont know what there talking about.

Here is why Palmer was able to pick up the first on the ground!
Pitts 2 deep was really really soft. They weren't putting much pressure on Palmer. The cinci coaching staff noticed and told Palmer that if nothing was open down field he would have lots of room to run for it. The linebackers were playing deep and they weren't blitzing. Cinci din't draw up some great play to pick up a first down, they just did there job and paid attention to what the D was doing.

IN OTHER WORDS!!! COACH LEWIS DID HIS JOB!!!!! :122245
