G-Well its not going to happen Oak Hill will stay in the SOC I in football. Its a good fit, go back to the South Gallia thread from last week and I posted the history of Oak Hill in the SOC I. As it always happens small schools have their run of a good group of athletes and then the balance of power always swings to someone else. Symmes Valley had their run and then East had theirs and now its Oak Hill. As I said earlier go back to what I posted on the South Gallia thread about the history of the Oaks in the SOC I you can go back and look it up. They have never won the conference in their history of being in it. Most years they have been 2-2 in the conference one year they were 0-4 in it. There were never any complaints then when that was happening and when the balance of power shifts back to someone else in the future there will probably be nothing said then.

Oak hill has always persued a league that they thought they could dominate,for some reason they think if they are the biggest school in the league that can win it every year. In the late 80's early 90's they got in the SVAC where the schools at that time in that league prob had around 80 boys each if that many.Oak Hill at that time had prob 125 to 140. The 4 years they were in that league they won it twice and got beat twice. Same old thing! They were in the OVC at one time and they were the River Valley of that league so they dropped out. Win at all cost no matter who you have to beat to do it.

Blue, don't know if that is totally true or not. Have heard that the two non-football schools in Pike County had something to do with South Gallia not getting into the SOC 1 because they didn't want to drive to South Gallia once a year. If that would had happened, Oak Hill would have moved up.

My point is they didn't win every year they won 2 years and lost 2years to Kyger Creek which was a single A power in the area from the 50's until the school was shut down in 91 for River Valley,Kyger Creek prob graduated 40 or less kids every year.

Im not saying that G Well, Im not saying that they just learned to play football . Im saying that the athletics go up and down in smaller schools. The kids any given year can execute their assignments and play hard and the coaches can work their butts off but if they are in a down cycle and other team they are facing has a better pool of talent at that time , chances are the team in the up cycle is going to come out on top.It goes in cycles, you have down years and up years. You can get a lot of mileage developing linemen, fullbacks and linebackers in the weight room, but if the other team has some really good skill kids , its going to be tough unless your fighting them in a phone booth.The kids at Oak Hill have worked really hard in the weight room all year and have generally improved each year they have been playing. They are also fortunate enough to be in a cycle of good talent , with kids that are really working hard abd some exceptional skill kids.

They also held every boy with talent back in the one class in elementry school ,thus they have 3 SR.s and 25 Jr.s it is benificial!

When they were 0-10 a few years ago no one brought this up, now they are going to finish 10-0 and people start bashing them. Why are people so jealous? Great things are happening in Oak Hill, you should be proud of them. Is the the state championship they won in basketball that gets people to bash em on here a little bit, or what? Get over it. I already did, the SOC I is a good fit for Oak Hill. The balance of power will swing another way at some time in the future and it will be Symmes Valley or East again. If Notre Dame gets a good class in, it will be them. Right now its Oak Hill.

You are right about one thing. The SOC 1 is a good fit for Oak Hill. But you should have added, only.
