D5 - Region 19: (#7) Coal Grove at (#2) Oak Hill
Re: D5 - Region 19: (#7) Coal Grove at (#2) Oak Hill
Yes - watched him play against a D6 Notre Dame team.
He's a good RB - no one's doubting that. But to say he's one of the top 5 in the area? What area? If you're just talking about Jackson, Lawrence, and Scioto Counties, he'd be in the top 10 for sure.
Top 5? Sorry - I've watched Tres Wilks make insane runs all year long against MUCH better competition in an offense that's about 85% between the tackles.
I watched Craigmiles and Schankweiler (sp?) absolutely slay a 7-3 DV Valley team.
What about the running back from Waverly everyone talks about?
Pendelton does alright, considering everyone in the stadium knows when he's going to get the ball.
I'll throw in #34 from Coal Grove - one of the fastest tracksters in the STATE.
If you want to include Kentucky in the immediate area, throw in Rashard Carter from Greenup County and Josh Alber from Ashland.
Crazee: Have you even been to a game outside of an Oak Hill game all year?
Get out a little bit, dude.

Re: D5 - Region 19: (#7) Coal Grove at (#2) Oak Hill
So. . . does the "area" just consist of Jackson County? If so, Hale is definitely in the top 5.

The Notre Dame game, Hale had been battling the flu for a week and still didn't have his legs under him. Can't wait till Friday for the All American Fuzznuts to be proven wrong. I bet you were such the athlete when you were in school.LOL.

Proven wrong? About what?
Just because I don't think Hale isn't one of the top 5 RBs in the "area" (wherever that is) doesn't mean I think Coal Grove is going to blow Oak Hill out or even that I think CG will win.
You must be related to the kid or something because you've been harsh ever since the debate was brought on.

Re: D5 - Region 19: (#7) Coal Grove at (#2) Oak Hill
One team averages 38.5 and the other averages 36.6.....looks like a shootout
Thoug I do recall Jackson's 1st ever playoff game they played HIllsboro and both teams averaged over 40 ppg and the final score was 7-3.....
I don't see this game doing that.
Oak Hill by 10
Hoping for a week #12 of Jackson hosting an Oak Hill playoff game.

Let's back on civil terms on this topic. R19 is one of the most competitive regions in the state. Look at R15, they have 2 good teams, a third who would have barely made the playoffs in R19. If the Harbin ratings run true, all the games in this region should be good and it is hard to pick a favorite. Looking forward to watching some good football over the next few weeks. Let's show the those up north we still play good ball down south.

After seeing him play, if you are adding in Ky, then I honestly have to put Rashard Carter first on the list, that was and is the fastest back we have and will see all season

What does that have to do with knowing football and having an opinion. I am definitely pulling for Oak Hill, but why shouldn't people like fuzzhead be allowed to have an opinion. I believe Westen is one of the best running backs in the area, great kid also. But fuzz should be allowed to have an opinion just like anyone else without being attacked and called names.
Westen and the Oaks will play well no matter if there is bulletin material or not.
GO OAKS!

I've said nothing of the sort. All I've said is that Hale isn't, in my own humble opinion, one of the top 5 RBs in the area. He is good - one of the best two or three RBs Coal Grove has faced all year. Slone is what makes the offense click, though. If teams didn't have to respect his ability, Hale's effectiveness would diminish.
It should be a good game. I wish I could be there to watch. Be sure to send me a copy of the game if you can get your hands on one.

Should be a very competitive region. Everyone should just be happy that we all are not in region 20. Unbelievable region. Anna, St. Henry, Coldwater, Ready, West Jefferson, Hamilton Badin... 3 teams from the MAC... that says all you need to know.
