No respect in the tvc?

It seems like some teams in the tvc just don't show respect to any other teams. I'll never forget four years ago when I was a freshman when we had rocks thrown at us by trimble fans. I'll also never forget playing at Amanda Clearcreek this year where all of the AC fans showed the utmost respect to us. There wasn't a single soul who wasn't quick to say good luck to us. Even the little kids were taught to show respect to the other teams. Why can't it be like this in the TVC?

Simple answer is manners. I was taught at a young age to be on my best behavior when I was not in my own home. I think playing the same guys year in and year out you get to see the best and worst they have to offer.

O&B - Ditto for me. I've only run into problems at one school, and it has been a problem for about 12 years now (every other year). But, I still get hate mail from a few of the prepsters from that school, annually. Actually, it may be weekly recently, depending on who's joined Preps with their 10th user id, from this particular school

That's OK, though, as they continue to show their bare butts on here, and keep perpetuating the image that they are a bunch of you-know-whats........LOL!!!!!!!

I've only had trouble with one particular venue...lol...just so happens that this year while we were at this stadium, my daughter got hit by a flying homeade noisemaker that came flying over the stadium after the game....Thankfully she just got a bump on the back of the head and nothing major, except the doctors bill. Thanks to the cat faithful, everytime we go there, something bad happens..

I ve only had something happen to us one time at a TVC School and that was when we beat a certain team over the hill, It was my Brothers Jr. year , Had about 3 or 4 young kids jump in front of our truck and throw stuff and curse us out . What year did the Rock throwing happen at Trimble? I remember riding the bus out of the Portsmouth N.D. stadium and We got lit up with stuff, Rocks Sticks, Cans , If they could pick it up and throw it , that night they probably did!!!

We got rocks thrown at us when i was a freshman during the 2006 season at trimble. we were coming back when we were down 28 to 7 at half.and it ended up being down to the wire if i remember right. well i guess some of those glouster guys didn't like that and just started a'throwin. But it wasnt just trimble. i still remember this year when the whole athens crowd booed us as we ran onto the field. i hope that our crowds at alexander don't do stuff like that too because it doesn't reflect a very respectable program.

Yes I remember a trip to Alexander for a basketball game. There was a woman that ran out on the court after an official. She cussed him, the Trimble fans, and gave them the finger as she was escorted out of the game. Then she got on JJ Puddle and ran her mouth. I heard that the football team got locked out of the locker rooms down there a few years ago. They stood outside for 45 minutes or so waiting to be let in.

I remember one time the bus was going to another school and kids were throwing stuff at the bus. One of them threw a milk carton and the bus had to stop cause the milk covered the windshield.

At another school rocks were thrown at the team as they boarded the bus on the way out.

This stuff goes on at some time or another at all of the TVC schools. It aint right but its not just one school doing it.

I think you bring up a pretty valuable point about the "NO RESPECT" thing.

We all claim to have respect and hold each other in high regard, but when push comes to shove we quickly tend to say "That's Trimble for you...." OR "Nelsonville" OR whatever other school you are playing that week.

We shouldn't be too suprised that we spend all our time running each other (as in other teams in the TVC) down and talking about what a "Bad program/coaches/fans" etc. each school has; and then we wonder why teams outside the league give us NO respect

To get respect you have to earn it, and one of the ways you earn it is by giving it. We really DON'T seem to respect each other for the most part, and we always seem to blame the other school for why we don't respect them!

yea some of the people in the tvc like to call others unsportsmanlike, but seem to wear blinders when looking in the mirror. at least we admit we too are bad sports. some others think they are above admitting that.

yeah i knew it was very hypocritical to say it but i had to. buckeye envy? really? and i dont care if u call me out for it. i figured someone would react that way anyways and i dont CARE! at least i would never approve of rock throwing or booing another team or doing stupid stuff like yelling "F THIS AND F THAT" bla bla bla during the national anthem. (Athens game 2006. it made me so mad to lose to a school whose students would act like that during the freakin anthem.) i'm just saying, the tvc will get more respect if we respect eachother. i'm sorry for actin like such a hypocrite though. i really aint like that.
