You got that right! Cards should sweep my Buccos with little problems so the Reds better do the same to the Giants.Orange and Brown wrote:We got 2 out of 3 from the Dodgers! The Reds really need to jump on San Fran. We need the sweep cause the Cards are playing the Bucks.

Cards 10 Bucs 2 Final
Giants 7 Reds 2 end of the 3rd.
Can Joey Votto win the Triple Crown???

Re: 2010 REDS
Although it would be nice if he could, Votto will not win the Triple Crown. He will not get enough homeruns or RBIs
Re: 2010 REDS
2 teams involved in a title chase. Both teams have players that are in position to win a Triple Crown, Pujols and Votto.
Homeruns - Pujols 32, Votto 29
RBI - Pujols 89, Votto 86
Average - Votto .323, Pujols .316
If either of these 2 players played in New York or Philly, it would be in the news everyday.
Should make for an interesting last 6 weeks of the schedule.

I figure Votto will finish second in voting behind Poohole :122245 because no one knows who he is. Those who no anything about baseball know who Joey Votto is. Without Votto the Reds are 14 games back.Mister B wrote:2 teams involved in a title chase. Both teams have players that are in position to win a Triple Crown, Pujols and Votto.

Votto has the right attitude and he has a blue coller aproach to the game.(Not bad for a Canuck) :122245

The one thing that worries me about the playoffs, is that the Reds have a losing record against every 1st or 2nd place team in the National League.
Finish what you started Reds, and then hang on for dear life

Re: 2010 REDS
X-RAY today on Brandon.Havent heard anything except he had a great ammount of swelling.GAHS and O and B......What the hell is wrong with you guys?...Are you naysayers?...Doomsday fanatics?....Negative...Negative...Negative....Are you worried about the next comet or global warming?...Glass half-full?.....Are you worried that you might find yourself in a snowball fight with Randy Johnson?
...You guys act like the people who dont believe that TO,Ocho, and Benson can co-exist in the same huddle and that PAC MAN is not a thug. And the Steelers are the greatest thing since sliced bread. You got problems....And I am right there with you....Worried that the sky will fall in on them...
...nit-picking everything....wondering if they really belong...going crazy if they fall behind 1 run
...and yesterday....geez....I am a nut....I wouldnt even get on here after the Cards series because I jinxed them....I wore my good luck shorts yesterday afternoon after work and thought this is it
These are the ones. I had my ass stripped about half naked by the 8th inning.Took them shorts and got rid of them and changed from the couch to the chairs about 4-5 times
....When do you get to the point that you really believe? :122245 ...Aperson should really enjoy this. Expect late Sept. celebration instead of hope...I would just like to get to the point of cautious optimism..that would be an improvement for this idiot
.....BTW......4-ever......check your field out at Centenary
Infield surface down.....sod down.....Wow factor will blow you away. Your girls are going to go from the worst place ever to one that is SWEET....

BTW.....per John Fay beat writer for the Reds.....X-Rays on Phillips were negative :122245 ...Available against the Cubbies.....Nix is day -to day and Edmonds out 2-3 weeks with an oblique and some ongoing achilles issues......Hell OB....I bet I told 2-3 co-workers today that I was "afraid" that Brandon had a broken hand. And I have ALWAYS been a couple of Advil, ice, and a shot of Jack kinda guy. I dont know what has happened .
But I like this squad. But I am sort of glad they are are off tonight :122245

I couldn't have said it any better my self.gahs4ever wrote:General, you know I love the Reds as much as anyone and Im enjoying this season as much as you are. Anyone who conducts a conversation yelling between cars at the Shake Shoppe drive through is either a fan or a nut or both.
BUT, I think my analogy comparing the Reds pitching this year with 1973 when they won 99 games and got beat in a SHORT SERIES by a lesser club (83-79) with superior pitching (Koosman, Matlack, Seaver vs Billingham, Grimsley, Gullett). Our best starter would be no better than a #3 in St Louis, and the fact that we have a losing record against every NL team with a winning record seems to support this.
Dont get me wrong....win or lose this has been the most enjoyable Reds season in 20 years, and even the most negative person in the world would have to admit that the basbeall landscape in Cincy has improved dramatically under Jocketty and Baker.
Good post.
Re: 2010 REDS
Heading to cinci this afternoon. going to watch fri and sat game with cubs. I hope i bring some good luck to them.
first time there this year. I will be 6 rows behind 3 base. Nothing better than sitting in the ball park with a warm $8.00 beer and a cold $5.00 hot dog . priceless.
