Re: Clay 8th Grade boys
Jake I think the 8th graders can be the team we all hoped they would be. They have talent on the court. Michael Schimdt has turned into an awsome player. He has the height to get in there to fight for the rebounds. Michael Hafer can get above the rim. Shaffer can drive the ball in and Eldin can shoot from the outside. Baldridge who didn't play last year is a strong player and has turned into a good point guard. He can cause turnovers and is fast. Madden is a good rebounder and boxes out well. Levi is a good point guard and is very fast. Compton has a good team and a GREAT bench to turn too.
Re: Clay 8th Grade boys
I think that the 7th and 8th grade clay boys will do great this year! They are a talented bunch of boys that love the game. I think that the coaches Compton and Geyer are really proud of what the boys have done this season so far. And as for the Symmes Valley game, well they (8th) weren't prepared to go against boys that were willing to do what ever for a win. Both 7th and 8th grade are good clean players that want to play a fair and clean game and when they go against players that like to slam others kids heads off the floor and the ref standing right there calls a jump ball, or elbow other players in the nose as they go up for rebounds and sometimes yes i do admit they are on accident but taking out 3 of the 8th grade starters by hurting them intentionally well please. No sense in that. But no matter what these boys face this year, I hope they have a great season, And the true fans are behind ALL the boys this year! Go Panthers!

How did the game go against Eastern? I know both teams for Clay won. I had to work and didn't make it.

#1clayfan.....can you say sore loser!!!!! I didn't see any kid get hurt intentionally. I hope this is a kid making this post, because i would hate to think a parent or a so called adult would downgrade kids like this. You know it is ok to take a loss and move on,it's not the end of the world. Don't blame other people just because they are better than you. The final score speaks for itself. Have a nice day!!!!!!!!!!

So sorry OUBobcat. didn't mean to sound like a whiner. Just don't like to see either of the teams no matter what school they are from get to physical. And yes I do understand that it is a physical game, but unnecessary roughness is not! Did not mean to offend anyone on purpose, just like watching the boys play.
And as for Viking grad, no not a sore loser just a concerned fan and I think the boys have accepted the loss and moved on, but just voicing my opinion on what was seen, did not intend to cause hard feelings or mean things being said. Sorry if I offended you also.
You two have a blessed day and have a merry christmas!
