Ironton is the best team on our schedule, should be good for us going into the tourney playing Competition like this,I still think we can pull this out, but we can not have any let downs, have to play hard the entire game , with very few mistakes.

Tobias:

Several will be coming early, Im sure. I am up in the air. I will be at the varsity game, but dont know when I can get out of here. If that changes and i can shake free earlier, I;ll let ya know. Ironton's girls team plays a sectional game earlier at Rock Hill. That my cut down on an early ironton crowd.
Game should be fun. I expect both teams at full strength. I am sure the "scouts" will be there for this battle of the teams nobody wants to play. wink wink.
Great to see both of these schools playing big basketball games, this late in the year.

Hopefully our Trojans will end the regular season on a strong note.......we can beat Ironton, but we have to give the Fighting Tigers the same thing that they have given to everyone else.......intensity for 4 quarters!!.........if we do that, and not be spurty, like we frequently have been this season, Portsmouth can win this game.

GO TROJANS!!!

The key, however cliche it may be, is "the team that takes care of the ball will win." And I don't think you'll find this group of Trojans having a hard time getting up for this game... There is a real disdain between these 2 teams. Well, at least on the Trojan end. I know for a fact, while they may respect Ironton overall, Portsmouth does not like Ironton. I'm just talking about the kids. And this should make for an intense matchup tonite.

The Lady Tigers just beat Fairland 59 - 24 - the game ended just after 4:00 PM.

ALMOST GAME TIME
On the radio on WIRO 1230 AM
On the net: http://www.foxsports1230.com/pages/scores.html
Click beside the TIGER face down in the middle of the page.
And apparently this works ONLY if you use IE, not with Firefox.

It's a triple header night - FR, JV, and Varsity - starting at 5:00 PM

PS - at 7:15 - the pre-game is not yet on the air on WIRO.
Triple header nights generally result in a late start for the Varsity Game.
I'll start a separate UPDATES thread shortly. GO FIGHTING TIGERS

Congrats to the Trojans on the big win giving the Tigers their first conference loss. I had a feeling about this one and picked the Trojans in the Pickems contest. They are playing some solid ball right now and could make a nice run in the tourney.

Great season Fighting Tigers. Good win for the Trojans. Now it's tourny time. How about an all SEOAL district final? Got to win 2 games to get there. Go Fighting Tigers!
