I REMEMBER IN 1984 COACH FRAUN TELLING US ON THE BUS AFTER WE LOST LEAGUE BY A POINT (I THINK) TO ATHENS. IF WE DIDN'T WIN THE NEXT YEAR HE WOULD STEP DOWN....... IT WAS A LOOONG AND QUITE BUS RIDE FROM ATHENS THAT YEAR. IT SUCKED TO B/C WE SHOULD HAVE ROLLED EVERYONE THAT YEAR AND WE BLOW IT.

I wish Portsmouth would have been in the SEOAL in the 80s 90s and early 00s, I think you would see some Trojan representation on this list.

Your right chief we should have won it in 84 we were the favorites going in and had beaten Athens in all the meets we saw them that season leading up to the league meet and came up short,,,the meet was in Ironton that year and they didn't even give ribbons or plaques out to the winners, must have been their way of saying goodbye since they were leaving the league the next year,I remember Fraun was Peed-Off and said he never had saw that before,it was a long 90 mile ride back up 93 for sure!!!!!1987chieftains wrote:PROUD TO HAVE BEEN PART OF THE "DECADE OF DOMIINATION!" :122249 I WAS ON THE 1ST 3 TEAMS.
