Jr High should be a time where the best kids make the team but it doesn't sound like that is the situation.

If little Johnny is too old for LL...It's not a true 7th graders fault, no matter if he's good or not. It's not 6th grade baseball is it?

If the boy is too old for L.L. then he probably should be in 7th and then there still should be no argument. I still say if there is a 5 years old better than the worst 7th grader then put him on the team. Chances are you not going to be losing much anyway and maybe it will motivate the boy who got cut to get better and try next season. JMO

South Point has a combined team of 6th, 7th and 8th graders. Don' think they cut very many if any.

Guys, the 6th grader is awesome player....it's just the point of it. For folks to say it's okay just bites my behind. Most of us did not hold our children back for sports did we? Three yrs at JR high gives them an advantage ,the boys cut didn't even get 2 yrs of correct?

So am I to understand it's not ok to bring a 6th grader up to play? There are teams out there that have a 7th and 8th grade team and there are 7th graders playing on the 8th grade team with 8th graders sitting the bench, what about that? Is that ok? It seems like the same situation to me. So, I think we need to quite belly aching and let kids be kids. And until jr high baseball is recognized by the school and the OHSAA there's nothing we can do about it. So I say, PLAYBALL!!!!!

An advantage for what? 8th grade ball--so what. Nothing matters except for High School Varsity and guess what----older boys will be cut and younger boys will make it. younger boys will sometimes start over older ones and be prepared for other kids moving in and starting over both. Life's not fair get over it. Field the best players you got and if that isn't your boy then I am sorry but little league is over.
