ZANESVILLE (17-6) vs. PORT CLINTON (25-0)
Zanesville had a 48-43 lead with 1:00 to go and lost 51-50. It looks like no team south of I-70 will win a title unless Moeller can do it in D1 and that's very doubtful. Dayton Dunbar beat Cleveland Benedictine tonight in the earlier DII game 69-62 and they'll probably kill Port Clinton who's never even been past District's till this year.

Moeller has a shot, they definately have Mentor in the size department.

Mentor is one thing. On the other hand, nobody will beat Gahanna Lincoln. Just sayin.

Yeh, I dont like their odds against the team that rolled over the #1 team in the nation. But its possible....much stranger things have happened in some choice basketball tournys this season.

Yeh they have a longer history of success than Gahanna and are much larger in the post, but then again...so was Northland.

Gahanna is one of the athletic teams I've seen in a while. That said, I didn't see them play Northland. Quick and very aggressive and 6'3" and 6'4" kids jump out of the gym. They should be favored, but heck anything can happen in a one and done.

Gahanna is the favorite in this one but if Moeller can get Griffin Mckenzie involved in the post they could make it very interesting.

Looks like I was wrong. Gahanna Lincoln went down last night in defeat 62-50. The mighty have fallen once again!

Massilon Jackson was by far the best team up there & they showed that against Moeller. Jackson's two bigs are going to Kent State & Akron.

I wish Northland and them would have met up. I dont think the Vikings would have had as many problems in the post as Lincoln and Moeller did. IMO Griffin McKenzie and company did not show up against the polar bears and the big rebounding differential shows that. Sullinger/Weatherspoon/Robinson vs. Henninger/Egner would have been a better show.
