Aye, ye may be right mate. That is why we have the ship loaded with rum. Ye can never have to much rum when rooting for the Pirates.

Miss Davis is easy on the eyes and has her own personal floatation device,

Heading up to the 'Burgh to watch the Pirates set sail on monday against the artful Dodgers.
RAISE THE JOLLY ROGER!

I love Pirates fans!! real Pirate fans are just like "Yep we suck and we don't care!" I respect a fan who can stick with a team no matter how bad it gets.
SO I SAY HEAR IS TO YOU PIRATE FANS!!! GO ROCK THE BOTTOM OF THE CENTRAL!!!!
Who knows, My Reds may be fighting it out with you guys for last place this year!
If that is the case it will be a fight to the death.

Yo ho, me hardys. Keep a weather eye on the horizon because our guns are loaded, the powder is dry and the rum is wet. We be pullin up on yer starboard side out of the fog for the first volley. To Davey Jones locker we may go, but we will have a good fight before we go.

Re: Pirate Gun Deck
Mister B, How long have you been a Pirate fan? I've been one since late 1987.1988 was my first full year backing the Bucs..
Re: Pirate Gun Deck
Well, I'll be a half-century old in 20 days. Never got to see any games at Forbes Field when I was a kid. First Pirates game I was at in person would have been 1971 at Three Rivers Stadium.
My son and I have tickets for Monday's home opener. First time I have ever been to opening day and really looking forward to it as my son will start college next fall and the summers for us to take in ballgames together are dwindling down.
"If you build it, he will come."
"Is this Heaven?"
"No, its Pittsburgh."

Where will you be sitting? Maybe you can make a SEOPS sign? LOL.I'll be watching on tv.
Re: Pirate Gun Deck
Section 314, 4th row, upper deck. Almost directly behind home plate. Game was soldout so I got my tickets off StubHub.
There is not a bad seat at PNC Park and the upper deck gives you a great view of Clemente Bridge and downtown. When my wife goes, we get seats in the Pittsburgh Baseball Club. My son and I like to move around from game to game.
If I can get my hands on a nice Jolly Roger flag, I will wave it.

Re: Pirate Gun Deck
Always will be a Pirates' fan, but the losing stigma will disappear in a couple years. Once guys like Alvarez and Daniel McCutchen are on the big-league roster the tide is sure to turn. Yes, ever since Barry Lamar Bonds wasn't resigned the Bucs haven't had a winning campaign. I'll still wear my Pirates hat and watch the games on FSN. At least we have won some World Series titles, lastly in '79, and division titles from '90-92.
Things could be worse if we'd been Cubs fans. They may never win a World Series again.

Re: Pirate Gun Deck
It was bombs away on the Allegheny today! The Jolly Roger flys high after a 11-5 opening day win over the Dodgers.
Re: Pirate Gun Deck
Garrett Jones smoked that ball into the River! When it was hit, you knew it was gone, the only question was how far would it go.
I am affaird that the Bucs will have games where they score runs in bunches and others, the bats are silent.
I have a couple of pictures we took from todays game that I will try and put on here when I find my USB cord.
Great day at PNC Park! Who knew that you could find 39,024 Pirates fans.
Tomorrow night, the Pens host the Crapitals and Wednesday the Pirates host the Dodgers. Big sports week in the Burgh.

I know it's early- but I like the make up of this team. The back end of the bullpen is solid.Nice Bench, and some nice young talent all around.Dont know about the series tickets yet,but so far so good.Hey,we could be the Reds and be 0-2! lol
Re: Pirate Gun Deck
Game 3...
Dodgers 10 Pirates 2
Bucco pitchers give up 16 hits will the Bucco bats only manage 8 hits. Pirates had 3 errors. This is what happens when you have a young team and the lowest payroll (36 million) in the majors.
At least we won the series. Off to Arizona and San Francisco for a 6 game road trip. Hope we take the bats with us.
