Reds 4 Bucs 0

Not going to win any games when you handout 7 walks, make 3 errors and only get 6 hits. Lucky the Reds only scored 4 runs.

LaRoche has a stiff back and another 1-3 days off. If it goes 3 more days that will make 8 games missed. Hasn't played since friday. Should have put him on the 15 day DL like they did with Pearce. Russell says Andy needs more time so it doesn't flair up later. That is why I say they should DL him retro to last saturday.

Need a win tomorrow to make it a split series.

LETS GO BUCS!!!

Mister B, It's time to send Morton back to the minors. And put Karstens in his spot.Miserable series in Cinn for sure. The bad thing about them is,they just have a little success and they think they are headed to the world series or something. It's a long season people.....Thank God I can listen to the Pirate tv crew in Atlanta...

A lot of problems to work on. I thought Morton was making progress but I was wrong. 7 runs in the first 2 innings. Very sad. Iwamura is not going to make it in MLB. Cedeno is suspect at best. Our DP combo is very slow. Jack and Freddy could have held these spots down for a couple more years while the youngsters were getting their reps in Altoona and Indy.

I am affraid that the weekend series may be more of the same.

Time to right the ship and get her back on an even keel.

What an awful road trip.

I hope the Cubs stink worse than us.

Bucs need to drop Iwamura. He is our leadoff hitter and batting a buck seventy with an OBP of less than 250.

It is amazing that McCutchin is doing as well as he is. No protection around him save for Jones. These 2 could be cornerstones for a winning team if they had some more support. LaRoche is doing ok if we can keep his back healthy. Milledge is a better hitter with runners on base but we can't get anybody on in front of him.

I hope a win will help you out Black Panther.

I think the fire is really indigestion. The Cubs signed some long term contracts that haven't worked out.

The only thing that could possibly make this worse for Lou is if Marge came back from the dead and made him rub Shottzie's fur on him for good luck. At least when he goes to the mound in Chicago, he doesn't step in a huge pile of crap left by Schottzie like he did in Cincy.

Lost the makeup to the Cubs yesterday, 6-1.

Cubs finally benched Ted Lilly vs the Pirates and put Silva on the mound who is now 8-0.

Pirates vs Strasburg tonight in DC. Will the phenom no-hit the Buccos????

LETS GO BUCS!!!

Pirates select Jameson Taillon with their first pick in the draft.

Glad to see they took a high school pitcher for once. College pitchers sometimes are either arm tired or have poor mechanics and have to be retooled.

Taillon is 6"7" and 230lbs. Has 3 pitches with a fast ball in the mid 90's.

Hopefully, the Pirates will offer him first round money so he won't go to college. My guess is they will lowball him.

Senators 5 Pirates 2

Strasburg makes his MLB debut and does well. Bucs had a 2-1 lead going into the 6th but back to back homeruns ends an otherwise good performance by Bucco pitcher Karstans.

Game 2 of series tomorrow...LETS GO BUCS!!!

The Bucs lost the last two games of the Nats (or as you called them Senators) series, and have lost five in a row.The O has walked the plank...Geena needs to find a quick fix if there is one, because a mutiny could be forth coming.Back in action tomorrow night in Detroit against our old buddy, and I mean that in a good way, Jim Leyland.

Senators...boy, did I go way back in the ol hot tub time machine! My bad.

I guess I am showing my age.

Pirates need to get it together and start winning some games or I am affraid they will start purging players that are up for contracts and try and start all over before this group of players has a chance to develop.

Burress got optioned back to Indy on June 4th.

Alvarez will be up soon. My guess is by the end of the month at the earliest, end of July at the latest.

We stink. 1-9 last 10 games. Only 9 road wins this year.

White Sox come in for 3 games starting tuesday. We need runs and wins.

LETS GO BUCS!!!

Bucs drop their second game to the White Sox.

Pedro Alvarez gets promoted from Indy to the Burgh and starts at 3rd base, goes 0-2 with a walk and a K. Iwamura gets sent down to Indy along with his $4.8 million contract. Along with the other contracts from former Buccos who were traded (Sanchez, Wilson etc) the Bucs are eating their contracts along with Iwamura, this counts for $10 Million of their nearly $40 million payroll for 2010. I would have to say Neil Huntington's time as a GM is marked with the bad deals he has made.

The future is now. Alvarez @ 3rd, Walker @ 2nd, McCutchen in CF, Lincoln pitching. These are our top draft picks the last 5 years and ready or not, they are in the majors. Lets hope we can win with them, sooner rather than later.

LETS GO BUCS!!!

And it was nice that Cleve.TV showed it too...I doubt seriously that Cinn. would have. They would have ran rain delay filler. The Bucs raised the Jolly Roger for the first time in two weeks tonight with a 6-4 over the Tribe.
