Still here.

I am mildly P.O. that FSN Pittsburgh is blacking out games on my local cable provider. So is the editor of my local paper who had a piece on it in his editorial the other day. I need to drop them a email and ask what gives. Pirate fans want to see their Bucs play, win or lose. I can't stand turning on wanting to watch the game and seeing the World Poker Tour instead.

I guess I will have to switch to MLB.TV to watch the games.

LETS GO BUCS!!!

Was it because we were playing Cleveland? Or were the White Sox games blacked out too?The thing with me is-I live too far out of the Pirates market and of course right in the middle of the Cinn. and Clev. market. To me,where I live Clev. is as far away as The Burgh is, but that dosen't count to them.I have to get the Pirates on the extra innings package on Direct tv.

It could have been. Got to finally watch a game against the Rangers last night. We lost, but at least I got to see my team play.

No.

Rangers 13 Bucs 3

Game was blacked out again. I think we have blacked out as a team. 9-27 on the road. Manager John Russell's and GM Neil Huntington's contracts renewed thru 2011. Our new pickup from Toronto, Eveland touched up for 6 runs in 2 2/3 ininngs of work in relief. Ouch.

Your right. I need to place a call or send an email.

Missing the Pens would be very bad. But, with the new arena almost soldout for next year, I don't think they will blackout many games.

Rangers 6 Bucs 5

Pirates score 4 1st innings runs only to lose the game in the bottom of the 9th as the Rangers get a walkoff single.

On the bright side, the game wasn't blacked out so I got to see it. On the dark side, Bucs drop to 9-28 on the road and 22 games below .500 - on to Oakland.

What Pirate fan couldn't see that ending coming? I said to myself, walk Guererreo, but then you would have had to pitch to Hamilton with the bases loaded.I still say I would have walked Guerrerro.

Your right. The hand writing was on the wall. Russell was between a rock and a hard place. But, Hamilton is leading the majors in every offensive stat for the month of June.

The game was lost when they brought in Meek. He had been rock solid out of the pen giving up only 3 hits in his last 11 outings and the Rangers touched him up for 3 hits in 1 inning. You can't be perfect everytime.

The big problem with the Pirates is that they have to play nearly a perfect game and the other team needs a mistake or 2 for us to win.

Milledge tryed a diving catch along the rightfield line and missed. The batter got a triple and 2 rbi's. Can't vault him for trying but a more experienced player would have slowed up and caught it on the bounce for a single and no runs scored. It is those type of mistakes that have cost the Bucs about 10 wins so far this year. The Rangers got 2 stolen bases purely off the pitchers making a slower than normal delivery. Experience is everything and we have so many first and second year players that are learning at the major league level when they should be making those mistakes at AAA Indy.

Hope we can fly the Jolly Roger in Oakland this weekend.

LETS GO BUCS!!!

A's 14 Pirates 4

Bullpen blows up in the 7th and gives up 7 runs and 2 more in the 8th.

Another example of a young team is Church and Walker running into each other in foul ground. Somebody has to call it. Walker gets hurt as Church's knee hits the back of Walker's head. Hope he is ok as he seems to have found a home as our everyday second baseman.

I know Donnelly has done pretty well for us,but has he become a human rain delay here of late? Working so deliberately.I felt like I needed some no doze to try to stay awake for that ugly excuse of a game last night. At least tonight's game is an hour earlier...

The ship has hit rock bottom...Of all ways to lose a game today...Wow...I really shouldn't be suprised though...On to Chicago, maybe a couple of wins there can bring us a float,or at least give us something to build on....Cant remember our last road win...Was it in Cincinnati at the end of May?

A's 3 Pirates 2

A's score 3 unearned runs on 3 hits as the Bucs committ 4 errors. Ohlendorf pitched his butt off and so did the pen. I could cry but there is no crying in baseball, right. ;-)

Black Panther is right, we have hit rock bottom, a 17 game road losing streak. Second longest in Bucco history to the 19 game streak in 1985.

9-31 on the road. 25-50 overall.

I can only say one thing...LETS GO BUCS!!!

Thanks to Doc Panther and Slim Jim for the support. Always remain true to your team regardless of their record.
