Week 3 - Huntington-Ross @ Scioto Northwest
Hopefully the Mohawks will be as successful against this Ross County team as they were against Southeastern-Ross in week one.

Here's to thinking that Coach Bartholomew gets the Huntsman into the win column this week. I see continued improvement as they buy into a new system and a win will jump start the boys from Huntington to bigger and better things. Good Luck to both teams, hoping everybody stays healthy. I think Huntington 21, NW 14

Looks like it's gonna be a wet field for Friday night. The Mohawks need to keep it on the ground and let #33 and #7 grind it out. Control the line of scrimmage, take care of the ball and this could be a good night for the kids from NW. If they have to pass to win, it will not end well. Northwest tossed up two "pick six" which was the winning edge for the Tartans. The Mohawk defense did not help the cause either. Granted it was hot and humid out there last Friday, but the Tartans played under the same conditions and were better conditioned. Huntington-Ross is down so this should be an easy night for NW and an opportunity to get some playing time for the younger kids.

Northwest is not in a position to go into any game with the thought that this should be an easy night. Huntington will spread the field and throw it. They have some decent athletes and they are more bought into this program now than they have been at any time during this horrid 4 year contract with Valley. The Mohawks better be in shape and ready to play. I think Northwest wins, but they can't take the Huntsmen lightly.

Nice win for NW 48-21. Offense looked good as did the defense. Special teams needs to tighten up as they gave up a TD and set up another with kick returns. Really do not know what to think about this team. One week impressive the next week?????? Good test for them next Friday as the Titans come to McDermott 3-0 looking to make it a 4-0 start. The Mohawks would like to be 3-1 when the evening is over. Should be a good game and if the same team from NW shows up next Friday that played last night, the Mohawks will win.
