Back to the Cup Finals...

I could get into rooting for the Blackhawks, especially since they are playing the Flyers, but I would really like for Marion Hossa to suffer at least 1 more year. Seeing how he is in his 3rd Final with his 3rd team, Pittsburgh, Detroit and now Chicago.

If you are going to post pictures, at least post one of the Hawks white sweater which I consider the best looking jersey in all of professional sports.

I smirk a little when I tune in to WGN out of Chicago. Until 2 weeks ago the Blackhawks hardly made the news. Now, they are all over it. Oh well.

Hoping for the best for you gahs4ever. I hope the series is still going when I go out to Chicago next week.

The greatest spectacle in sports is OU Hockey at Byrd Arena!

I think my son is finally old enough to go this year.

Tickets for the EMU game are hard to get.

My first OU hockey game was waaay back in the 70's during my college days. It was .25 beer night in the Byrd and Ohio State came to Athens. OU scored an early goal and this led to a fight. Buckeye player went to the sin bin and the students started to harass him. Soon, a beer was thrown on him and then the fight started between him and a student. This started the on ice fights. There was a mad rush to buy more beer, a dollar got you four so they were throwning them on the Buckeyes through the chainlink fence because they didn't have plexiglass around the whole rink back then. It took awhile, but the fights stopped, OSU got on the bus and went back to Columbus. Victory OU.

I took my son when he was 14 and his mom went too. We go back at least once a year for a game. It is a good time and inexpensive. Several folks from Belpre have season tickets and never miss a OU hockey game.

Hawks in control ,They love Santa in Philly

Mister B won't be too happy that Hossa scored the first Chicago goal tonight! I imagine the good people of Detroit feel the same way about him. I did too until he became a Blackhawk! lol

Time to move on. If Hossa wins the Cup, so be it.

I look for Philly to get a win at home. Remember, Kate Smith will be singing God Bless America during a playoff game. Even though she has passed on, she seems to have that magic touch.

Philly may boo Santa, but they adore Kate.

I remember her singing it on tv before the Flyers playoff games back in the 70's when they were refered to as the "Broad Street Bullies" with Clarke and co. The players wanted her to sing it live everytime because they felt she was a good luck charm for them as they rarely lost when she did.

My daughter is dating a young man who is in the Marines, and is from Chicago. So, with that being said, he's a big "chickenhawks" fan. I call them that just to get him rattled. I, for one, am not a hockey fan, but i'm rooting for them to win too.
