The Junior team kicks off there season on a good note as they defeated there rivals Chillicothe 757 12-2. Tyler Rowe was the winning pitcher on the night. The Junior team is now 1-0 and will play again tomorrow June 3, 6 p.m. @ Valley HS vs. Chillicothe 62.

The Junior team keeps on rollin as the defeat Chillicothe 62 8-3. Patrick Riehl was the winning pitcher as he went all 7 innings.

Junior team picks up two games as they beat Circleville. First game 6-4 Tyler Sanford pitched the full 7 innings and got the win! Second game was called in the 5th inning Post 23 was winning 5-0 Nathan Burchett got the win! Seems to me that the Junior team is doin really good!

The Junior team split the DH with Pickerington yeasterday. Winning the first game 9-8. They lost the second game 22-12 Brad Pierron had a 3 run HR. There was a combined of 11 HR's in yesterdays game. The junior team is now 5-1.

POST 23 JUNIORS 9-1
On the season after Sweeping Ashland Post 76
Monday Evening at Branch Rickey Stadium.

It was also good to see the young Burg players show up and
play well in their first post games of the season after coming back from the
state tournament sunday evening. GOOD JOB GUYS!!

Also congrats, to the rest of the post 23 team and coachs for a fine job!!
you guys are not 9-1 this far by accident keep up the hard work, still alot
of ball to be played and best of luck the rest of the season.

June,9 game VS Chillicothe Post 757 at Valley H.S. has been rained out!!

Next game June,10 VS Waverly Post 142 at Piketon H.S. 4:30pm

POST 23 JUNIORS 11-1

Juniors Extend record tonite after taking two games from Waverly Post 142
at piketon H.S..

Game 1 20-4 in five innings with Alex Shears going deep left center for a 3 run
home run.

Game 2 12-2 in four innings, Alex Hartley drove a two run homer deep left field.
the umpires called game due to darkness, don't understand! plenty of sunshine left in the sky.

Rest of the team hit solid in both games, good defense and pitching all around
good team effort. Nice job boys!!

Next game friday 6/11 at Glouster Trimble 6:00pm

POST 23 JUNIORS 12-2

Juniors split DH with Athens post 21 sunday at Athens H.S.

Game 1 Lost 5-4 was not one of their better outings, Alex Shears hit a homerun in the loss.

Game 2 Won 9-4 hitting was alot better! still to many runners left on base.

It was the series of little mistakes that HURT..
Not taking anything from Athens they played well, pitched well and hit the ball!! and made plays
when needed.
Win or Lose I know the juniors play better than that.

are they usually in the fall? do you know who I would contact to get see about getting a tryout?

Have to wait till next year, the legion tryouts for both senior and
junior teams are held the same day on a weekend and start's about
mid to late may, so next may start checking for the tryout posting
in the portsmouth daily times newspaper! and they also post it rigrt
here on this site as well.
I also think it was posted in the community common newspaper this
year too..
