Re: Question of the Day
I say yay. Only because, like you said, fans want to see him. There are alot of deserving players that should be there. It's more of a popularity vote, than actually voting for someone that is having a productive year. Like Votto for example. Do you think he'll be starting at 1st base? Nope, that belongs to Pujols, which is deserving of it this year. It wouldn't matter though, Pujols could be batting .200, and have 3 Hr's, but since it's "Pulojs", he would still be the starter. Heck, Votto probably wont even make the All-Star team.

I'm glad he wasnt chosen. He hasnt EARNED it yet. One baseball writer said that if they chose Strasburg go ahead and choose Aroldis Chapman also cause the fans want to see him too.

Re: Question of the Day
Thoughts in hindsight...
He picked 13 pitchers to be on his staff for the All-Star game. If he truly believed Strasburg was one of the best 13 pitchers in the National League, then yes he should have selected him. You go with the best guys. I would rather have Strasburg for one inning as opposed to Evan Meek of the Pittsburgh Pirates...Which leads me to another issue......
I HATE the "one player per team" rule. Get rid of it. Use your best guys if it is going to count for home field.

Re: Question of the Day
I see what you mean FT45 but Evan Meek deserved a spot (55 IP 1.30 ERA). The one player per team rule gets frustrating when someone from a team like the '03 Tigers that went 43-119 get to have someone there when they had nothing worth talking about.

Meek deserved a spot but if I tell you you can have one or the other for one inning, you take Strasburg.
