Cliff Lee Traded to the Rangers.
I LOVE IT! The Yankees all but had Lee this afternoon, I'm so glad Texas came in and grabbed him instead.

Since the Reds didn't get Lee rumor has it they might go after Oswalt or Haren. I hope they don't. That will tie up to much money for the next couple of years. They can wait until the end of the season after Harangs contract is up and see what free agency brings. I would bring back Arroyo.
The problem is not with the starters it is within the bullpen, and there is not really anyone available at this time. Maybe it might be a good time to see what Chapman might bring. Not sure about that though. I am just sayin. Anything at this point might be better than the circus that Cordero brings nightly!
It's outings like tonight that might bring the rest of the attitudes down with him. Again I'm just sayin!

Reds have good pitchers, they just don't have a good manager that knows how to manage a game or the staff.
Personally, let the Yankees suck up all the talent and pay them. Other teams gain money for their younger players thru the Yankees and Red Sox luxury taxes.

Dusty is known for burning out his pitchers. Not just his bullpen.
He leaves Leake in the game to long just to get his first major league complete game and lets the Phillies get on a roll. True, the bullpen should have held them but sometimes they don't.
Baker just doesn't have a good track record of getting a team over the hump. He gets some regular season wins but look at his record of actually getting a team to the playoffs and then winning. Not impressive.
Just my thoughts.

Actually, Leake had thrown only 92 pitches after Victorino scores to make it 7-2. This was with 1 out. Dusty kept Leake in to let him get the complete game but 2 runners got on and then Leake served up the homer to make it 7-5 and then they brought in Cordero for the save but he gives up 1 hit, a 2 run homer to tie it. Then Rhodes pitches the 10th, gives up 2 hits, 1 of them the walkoff 2 run homer, which Rhodes did not record an out in the 10th.
I can see Dusty wanting Leake to get the complete game. Going into the 9th leading 7-1. Gives up a run to make it 7-2, not to big of a deal but them 2 more runners get on and even after a mound visit, the 3 run knock. Probably should have brought in the relief sooner but it is easy to second guess.
