I talked to someone who was there that said Logan's defense looked good, but the offense looked like it needed work, but as everyone knows, the offense is always behind the defense, so that is not surprise.

No doubt it is a "rebuilding" year, but that does mean you can't win 6, 7, 8, or 9 games.

Circleville had a 2-0 touchdown lead on Logan's varsity before someone I know left the scrimmage. Logan isn't going to be as good as they were last year with all they lost, but I wouldn't start to hit the panic button. I think the Chieftains will have a winning season, probably 6-4 or 7-3. Scrimmages are often not the most revealing about a team - you'll see Team A beat Team B and A goes 4-6 and B goes 8-2 during the season.

I think the Chiefs will improve as the season wears on and the players develop a bond. They may not break out of the gate fast but will show up for league games.

Wow first time I remember Circleville beating Logan;s varsity in this scrimmage, but seems like I read somewhere Circleville does have some key players coming back and it might not be as bad as people think especially if Logan had some injuries, next week in Thornville should be a real doozy because Sheridan has quite a few back also,,,I got sneaking feeling we're going to see Jurgensmire running the ball alot from the spread this year.Teams will have to put a spy on him.Seems like I remember the freshman start around 4pm then the varsity after that game.Varsity plays real game condtions for one half then the reserves play the second half

^ Circleville has an experienced QB to go with some skill kids with nice speed. If the Tigers can get good play on the offensive and defensive lines, they'll have a nice season.

1987 -

I would guess Kelly Long (a junior). I know he played some QB with the JVs last year.

I really hope the community sets reasonable expectations for this years team. Grand total of 4 starters back. I know everyone has become use to winning on a fairly consistent basis but this year could be a real struggle. Don't be suprised if we are 0-3 out of the gate. Lancaster, Pickerington North, and Reynoldsburg will be very very difficult games. Dale had some pretty lean years along the way. I hope Kelly is given the same opportunity as Dale to put his stamp on the program. Can only imangine the melt down that would occur if indeed we do start off 0-3.....will see who the real fans are then

From 2002-2007, Logan started 0-1 every season and started 0-2 or worse in 2004 (when they started 1-5) and 2006 (before reeling off 8 straight wins).

I think 0-2 is a very real possibility with 0-3 or even 0-4 in the cards, especially if the team has some injuries early on.

I think its realistic to shoot for a 2-2 start before home games with Marietta and Gallipolis that prove much easier than the first 4 weeks.

I think most Logan fans I've talked to aren't expecting GREAT things from this team. IMO, this team can be very, very good, and I have hope for yet another SEOAL Championship this fall.

I hope the best for the Chiefs, but have had Reserve Seats Since my 11th Grader was in 6th grade--- Still no 'Purple Seats'. Stuck by the fence on the side....waiting.... GRRR
Sent wife, who arrived @8:15 on the first day to improve- Gone!
Perhaps a poor season will free up some. (Don't want that, but am frustrated)
Perhaps we need more seats, or a better system. I often leave work just in time to catch pre-game events if I don't have to wait in line. Hate to trample over an otherwise full row to get to my isolated reserve spot. Another family who sat with us in the last year of the old field got theirs 2 years ago. ???
Is there a separate fee?
Regardless, GO CHIEFS!!!
