It depends on how hard you work. Question: How many boys on the wrestling team are on the football team this year ?

ill bet it has a lot to do with how good they will be.
if they are just grabbing people out of the hallways then they are in trouble.
if they are getting athletes out, then that is a great way to get a respectable team on the mat.
not state level like what tric has developed, but a good core group of athletes that will put 3 good months into it can be a very formidable team in southeast ohio

I know and have many "athletes that don't play football" and wrestle. There are plenty of kids who don't play football that are good wrestlers for instance at Nelsonville-York Thomas Mclaughlin, Carl Moody, Dakota Hook all been state tournament don't play football. Meigs can get a good team together without them playing football. Find a place that has open mats in the fall and work out. On the other hand I understand what you are saying I like my wrestlers to play football both my young boys do both. But my point is you don't have to play football to be good get those other kids out that don't play football and get them in open mats and to fall tournaments.

tric, i agree with you 100%. It doesnt sound like meigs has hit the open mats. They can have a solid season if they get 20 football players out and some little guys for the bottom of the line up
