Former Bellaire Big Red Nate Davis meets the chopping block

Former multi-sport Bellaire athlete Nate Davis got sent packing today by the San Francisco 49er's, after they signed former Ohio State QB Troy Smith. Oh, the irony of it all.

Coach Mike Singletary's patience wore thin with Davis's work ethic and off-season dedication to getting ready for a professional QB spot. Davis's claim of dyslexia hampering his development only went so far with the 49er's organization.........

Davis did show off some of his talent on the field but maybe his understanding of the playbook and what plays they could run with him. Maybe this will be good for Davis to work harder.
Troy Smith did pretty good when he had the chance at Balitimore. The 49er's need a QB who can play of Alex Smith gets hurt or unable to play winning football.
