I wish NY luck the rest of the season, but Ready in a route! Also our fans will show up and be loud. We have been to lots of small towns with small home crowds. I'm sure this won't be any different. Do you guys have any pizza places? I hope we don't have to eat in Lancaster. Our runningback is a stud, and he won't be stopped. Final Ready 42 NY 7!

This whole thread is hilarious. Ready will lose at least two more games and won't get credit for another one against the Crusaders. Yet you put a "Bishop" in front of a name or a "Catholic" behind it and it's treated like some amazing upset.

NY would have been better off keeping Piketon on the schedule point-wise...

No need to apologize to me. If NY misses the playoffs for the 2nd straight year after going 8-2, I might have to say "sorry" to NY and their fans when a less deserving team like Caldwell or CG gets in ahead of them because for the 2nd straight year they guaranteed themselves a loss by playing Ironton last year and St Clairsville this year.

So we schedule up and we still get beat on by people. We didn't gaurantee a loss last year by scheduling Ironton.. We did lose but we could have won that game if we had held onto the ball and had better line play. St. Clairsville is not a gaurenteed loss either. We may not be the favorites but NY will not lie down and roll over for them. We will see after the game friday night though.

One thing I can say for Nelsonville-York is that at least they aren't scheduling a bunch of cupcakes and thumping there chests about it.

Big words for a team that hasn't won a playoff game in many years...

Ridgewood, Valley, and Fort Frye all look to be tough this year in 5/19. Let's get there first!

I am glad that Nelsonville-York is scheduling outside SEO. They need to prepare for the playoffs. Scheduling only SEO team will not prepare them for a long run in the playoffs. Not to disrespect any team in SEO, NY needs to see a variety of offenses and defenses to prepare. Only playing SEO teams will prepare them to stop the run but not the spread, as well as, different defenses.

lol. If, and that's a big if, Fort Frye does make it in to the playoffs, it will not be pretty. Especially if it's against the likes of Minford, Fredericktown, or some of the other top teams in this region. The same can be said for Caldwell. The only PVC team that has a chance in the playoffs is Monroe Central, and both Caldwell and Fort Frye got beat badly by them.

With the said, I hate all the talk of who "deserved" it more. So, Caldwell got in ahead of the likes NY, Liberty Union, Valley, etc. So what? Maybe those teams would have had more success in the playoffs, but Caldwell did what they needed to do when it mattered. They went through the weight lifting sessions, two-a-days, film sessions, game week practices, and games just like those other teams did. Sometimes that's just how the system works. Caldwell won the games when it mattered. For all the work they put in throughout the season, i'd say they were very "deserving" of their playoff spot.
