TVC Standings

Post by winsandlosses »

Can anyone keep us updated on the TVC standings? Our local paper apparently keeps no track of standings..never prints them. An update would be great now and then.

TVC Hocking Division Competition

Post by cobweb »

Is the new make-up of the Hocking Division having negative impact on the volleyball competition?

The new TVC-Hocking make-up has added three teams. This change has forced six mandatory matches into the schedules of all teams. To me, The issue is that there is too much disparity in "game" between the best and the worst in the league. When these teams match-up, the better teams are not challenged and the lesser teams have no chance; impacting the competition and enjoyment for the teams/fans. The better teams could have a much better, more challenging schedule, if they were not obligated to 16 or 22 matches being "league games" and the lesser teams could schedule more competitive matches outside the conference. It would be nice if the TVC administration would recognize this issue and consider a scheduling option that would free some schedule dates for more out-of-conference volleyball competition.

Is there any practical scheduling solutions, short of forming three divisions, that could be affected for volleyball? Having some discussion and suggestions for TVC management to consider would be great.

Find what I92 ... the VOLLEYBALL STANDINGS are located about half way down the home page on trivalleyconference.com ... OR .... on each team page ... (Ohio teams have the Ohio standings ... the Hocking teams have the Hocking.)

I can't believe Meigs, Wellston and Vinton County have the correct overall records. I know Vinton Co defeated Jackson in McCarthur.

I thought Wellston was 3-10ish
