I dont think that this will be a blowout and that they will need to play hard and come out with some spunk. Tigers need to come out and be ready to play some ball. I think this Tiger team plays very well together and that they are a good group of kids with alot of heart. One thing I do need to suggest is that we Tiger fans need to get more into the games. Myself always standing up and yelling. Look down from my seat and see so many Tiger Fans just setting and not cheering at all. So this game is a big game and the boys of the fall needs some support. So come on Tiger fans and get up and make some noise. Lets support these boys like we talk about it.

Tiger Bait You need to move out of the Reserve section so that we can get rowdy and get everyone into it. Maybe you need to be like the kids from Galia and put on a pair of tights and a TUTU and paint your body. ]          [/size]

I think it will be a great game with Ironton proving that they are a team to be reckoned with one of the best Ironton teams in years I think with speed and strength

They dont make tights that big and a TuTu is out of the question..........and paint, well best I can figure it would take at least 35 cans of spray paint to cover that body..........

Seriously???? j/k = just kidding and lol means laughing out loud. Yes I was kidding, only because Ashland fans were complaining about officiating in a 43-6 game.

Wow, another northern big boy walks into town.

Just remember 2 things:
1: Lutz knows how to keep his players grounded so they will be ready
2: Bob took a year off so he forgot to update his calendar. He thinks it is 2009 and you know what Tigers do in years that end in 9????

Stay Hungry, Play Fast and Strong, Don't back down.
Make them fear the Tank...

GO Tigers!!!!!!!!!

Ironton games remind me of the Notre Dame football game I was just at last weekend. The only time we really get up is on a big play. We, as the fans, need to keep up the intensity throughout the game and truly make the Tank one unreal hard place to play.

yeah, i remember in '99 they lost the 1st game of the year to a little D5 team.

AND most schools DO fear the tank, but not necessarily because of the tiger team.

I also remember in '99 when they were a state runner up and should have been state champs.

To play in the big game you have to first make it to the big game, Ironton has been there several times, what about your team????

Once again the ugly green face of envy rears its ugly head. Ironton is 5-0, the remaining schedule is impressive, the team is even more impressive and the one time they said we should have lost what happened? Ironton destroyed Ashland! So now a very good Alder team comes to town and if and when this Fighting Tiger team wins it just serves to prove that once again as I said when I initially came on board here, "The Swagger is Back!!!!!" Wheelersburg couldn't do it, Ashland was dismantled, and undefeated Gallia academy was destroyed and @ the half way mark of the regular season the Ironton Fighting Tigers stand unblemished and staring down a huge test from the north. Oh, and they said the "glory days" are over in Ironton!!  Well I do not know about you but this sure does look like classic Tiger football to me. Playoff like atmospheres at the Tank, high rankings, big time performances, the whole nine yards and a cloud of dust boys! Regardless of what happens I know it irks so many of you to be once again hearing those words you have heard so many times before, "Watch out, The Fighting Tigers are for REAL!" :122249

it's only impressive IF they BEAT all those remaining teams on the schedule. let us know at the end of the year how impressive it is....

and jackson and that little D6 team in week 9 ain't so impressive.

I'm going to say Alder by 3. Why? It might come down to a field goal and their sophomore kicker had a 51 yarder already this year with a few 40 some yarders. Last week 6 of his kickoffs were to the back of the end zone. Good luck to both teams and stay injury free.

    i noticed you didn't use terms like "destroyed" and "dismantled" when describing your squeeker win over little D5 Wheelersburg.

all we hear is that it's always ironton's 1st game of the year and they always get tougher. well, that's just the sign of a poor coach to me when you bring a team into the season unprepared and they just get better because of the experience they gain each week.

yeah, i know, he's won more games than anybody...... well he's played more games than anybody.... helll, he's almost 70 years old. that's not bashing either. that's fact.
