CG is the only OVC school with a chance of making playoffs this year. No points to gain from beating conference schools.

Ok I'm a junior wide receiver my bestfriend is the quarterback n yea all the stuff you hear is true we play on a crappy practice feild with outdated equipment no one cares about us ya know I'm just so tired of losing and people talking bad I mean I get what your saying and your free to your opinion it just hurts ya know because there are about 6 of us that really care and yea we prolly don't stand a chance for playoffs but I'm just trying to give my brothers something to fight for I mean how would you feel if everyday you walked into school and heard people laugh and make fun of you and after all that go outside and have nothing no one wants to help us don't get me wrong I LOVE my team and I'd never leave them but it just is so aggervating and like I said I appologize you can say what you want

I've seen RV play at least once a year for the last 7 years or so. Though they are usually small and outmanned, Ive said before on here and I'll say again that I don't see many teams each year that play with the heart those guys play with. I've said this on here before also: yeah a team may be flat-out lousy talent-wise and record-wise, but in my book they're successful as long as they learn something about the game and life. The only losers are the players/teams that don't give 100% and underachieve wilfully. That doesn't happen at RV. The higher-ups are the losers - pathetic, elitist losers who deserve to be booed by the community and should be run out of town.
82, if I go to the RV game against CG, I'd be honored to shake your hand and give you a pat on the back. Good luck this week.

Some are sure changing their tone on this thread now that there is a face on the team. As I have stated many times in the past, there is no more dedicated player than there is at RV. I went through this with my son for 4 years and it is very difficult. One of these days, it may pay off but in the mean time you have got to like the tenacity of these boys. After all, they are the ones that did show up in August and are still there on Fridays.

Good luck to both teams! It's a whole new season - records back at 0-0 in OVC play. Both teams can still make this a great year!
