I think that Wilks got screwed on this one. I think they just wanted him out. exspecially since we are playing Jackson this week and one of the officials was from jacksonCharley Hustle wrote:Wilks got ejected Friday nite and he must set out a game,,,,,,,,this Friday........1_Redman_6 wrote:Why isn't Wilkes playing?

Alder is good, you have to be to have beaten this Tiger team. The only one mentioned who was injured in this game was Lawless and if you've seen Michael play, you know he'd be just as likely to injure himself as he hits so darned hard. Brown was hurt before and Wilkes is not injured.

I still can't imagine these injuries will make that much of a difference, Ironton always has a ton of kids that can play and still should have enough to beat Jackson.

Well, we sure think so but...we're not so naive to think that these young men (and the rest on the team as well who might not be playing) won't be missed! By this time next week, we'll know for sure, won't we?

The Fighting Tigers are obviously fighting the injury bug.
If Ironton wins at Jackson with some of their best players out, it will tell me how good we really are this year and for years to come.
Go Tigers Go.

All I have to say is that I wouldn't miss this game for the world and I think that some other teams may be surprised to see where this game ends!
Ironmen are hungry and are hittin on all cylinders. We'll see if it's enough or not come Friday but either way the tigers will know they've been in a game! :122246
Go Ironmen 35 Tigers 27

Re: Ironton (5-1) @ Jackson (5-1)
From what I understand, Lawless and Warner were both playing hurt before the Alder game. Warner was clearly carrying his arm gingerly due to the shoulder. He may miss this week too. Wilkes, Warner, and Lawless are three of the best players on the field, and that includes the eleven on the other side of the ball. We will miss all three.
BUT.............we do have three LB's with game experience, and we have had to play several DB's when we faced Ashland and GAHS in the spread, so we have some experience, just not our starters.
Some people could not have started if there were only eleven players on the team, of course that guy didn't play even though he likes to pretend that he played football and baseball. He didn't play baseball either though.

Come on I hated to see them lose but we have never seen the Tigers get calls their way at home. There have been times I was sorry for the visiting team because the calls were that bad. Ref from Jackson did you check his license.

Re: Ironton (5-1) @ Jackson (5-1)
I have heard that Ironton has possibly appealed the ejection of Wilks by sending in video of the play in question. They're hope is to have the additional game suspension recinded. I have no idea exactly how true this is, I do know if the OHSAA recinds this suspension it will absolutely shock me. I've never known the OHSAA to recind a suspension or comment on a referee's call. No matter how terrible it is. As far as they're concerned the referee is always right.
Re: Ironton (5-1) @ Jackson (5-1)
Jackson offense line has been wearing down teams all year allowing arthur and ervin to get big plays in the running game then that lets kipp to get some passing done. I look for jackson to win but it will be close game ironton is always tough jacksons offense will show up 35-20 with jackson scoring the knockout punch late in the game
Ironton-20
Jackson-35

I have actually had one winner so far that PM'd me and guessed correctly. If anyone else wants to guess, feel free and PM me and I will explain the whole story. I'll give you guys some hints.
He is on this site spouting off about things he has no clue. He pretends that he played both baseball and football, but he didn't play either and I have the yearbooks and programs to prove it. He is an Ironton fan and often makes embarrassing posts on this site. He has been banned from coaching LL baseball. He is a pathological liar.
This guy actually tried to tell me once that I worked with his kid and that he was on one of my flag football teams. This kid would show up to every other game on Saturdays because his mother would not bring him on her Saturdays. She did not want him playing flag. The boy also played tackle, so he went to tackle football practices through the week. I never missed a practice and this kid never came to one. I only had 15 players and I knew all of them. This parent tried to convince me that his kid was at every one of my practice and he said "he has been to practice because he said he really likes when you work with him". Absolute NUT BOX.
There you go, take your guesses.

Re: Ironton (5-1) @ Jackson (5-1)
Jackson has grown and matured each week as a team and seems to be playing their best football as each Friday rolls around. This team displays the confidence not let the stigma of playing The Ironton Tigers influence them. I believe they welcome the opportunity face the Tigers and look forward to meeting them on the gridiron this Friday night. Should be a good game with the stars for each team haveing their moments. Look for a relatively unknown to play a key role in determining the outcome of the game. Ironmen win by a touchdown.
Re: Ironton (5-1) @ Jackson (5-1)
This game sounds so good I almost want to come down and see this one. But, I must sail south to see my CAVS in an epic battle at Gallia. SSSHHHH! Don't tell my fair weather CAVS fans, but you guys may have more fun than us LOL!!
Good luck to both teams! Get healthy, play hard, play well!

Re: Ironton (5-1) @ Jackson (5-1)
A healthy Ironton would beat Jackson by 21 - 28 points, a very depleted Ironton team may struggle to beat them by a score. I would say Ironton is at 55% without those key players so the question is..... can Jackson hang with a a Ironton team playing at half strength??

This is getting FUNNY. I have 3 WINNERS so far. I guess I am making it too easy or just too many people know this MORON.
Re: Ironton (5-1) @ Jackson (5-1)
I think we will take this one. Jackson has not impressed me at all this year. I heard they were going to do away with football and go strictly to mens cheerleading......
