Pats vs Steelers

Post by farmer »

The Steelers played bad. The offensive line is a problem that is going to make it tough to overcom without changes being made. With Ward out that also changed the offense.

The Steelers did make a comeback but why not try to win the game at the end? They needed to score and have time left for the onside kick then another play. Ben has the arm to throw it to the endzone and they have WR's to go get it. This has also happened with other teams this year. It may not be a high percentage play but it worked for the JAGS yesterday. It was their only chance to win. Which is why you play the game to win.

A few weeks ago, Steelers were 3-1 with Big Ben coming back from suspension. All the talking heads had them in the Super Bowl already. Last week, New England was toast after losing to a "horrible" Browns team. Only half the season is in the books; it's still too early to say anything about the top teams definitively. My guess is the Steelers will be alright. They may not make the Super Bowl but then I never thought they would, anyway.

The defense has gone south, almost blowing a 20 point lead to the Bungals in the 4th quarter last week and now this? They've given up over 20 points in their last three games. That's not Pittsburgh defense. That's just disgusting.
The O-line has been bad for years now and they've done amazingly little to correct it.

The one time I was actually rooting for the Steelers, they lose.

Where the heck is Polamalu? You hardly even hear his name anymore. What's with the D? They hardly even blitzed against the Pats. They would rush 4, and drop the rest back into coverage, which, in return, gave Brady allday to pick the Steelers apart. They need to get back to being blitzburgh!!!!!!

I may be wrong, but it looked like polamalu was put in a fixed spot on the corner. Not to roam around.

Must win? I wish my Browns were in such a situation. The Steelers will make the playoffs; probably win the division. They would have an even shot in the playoffs against what they may face. Geesh...a little perspective here. I remember a few years ago they were 5-5 and in danger of missing the playoffs...they only went on to win the Super Bowl. Chill....I have more faith in your team than you do.

The Steelers remember how things went last year. True they made the run at the Super Bowl before when they were in danger of missing the playoffs. Right now it is on both sides of the football showing weaknesses. The offensive line will have to play better or Ben may get injured. They need to play better for the entire game or they will be missing the playoffs this year.
