Unioto rocks, was that a real game of scrimmage. If a real game that is a quality win. Unless chillicothe didnt return much they were really good at the end of the year last year. Nice win to start the season for Unioto.

It was a game, the first game of the season for both teams.

Going into the 3rd period Unioto was up 44-16. Unfortunately there was no subbing going on for Unioto and the starting players got very tired and started making lots of mental mistakes that normally would not be made and Chillicothe capitalized on them. Unioto played excellently, especially Kyle Strange who had probably one of the best games I have ever seen him play, I don't know the exact numbers, but I would guess he had 20+ of the points for Unioto.

Chillicothe's big guy, Chris London, got into foul trouble in the 1st period with 2 fouls and had to sit for a while, as did Carl Harris (whose defense is amazing by the way) and a few other players throughout the game. Chillicothe's coaches got every player on their bench (except maybe 1 or 2) in the game so the starters could rest for a short while, which allowed the starting five to come back out together and go on a good scoring spree getting back to within, I believe 8 points off of Unioto's tiredness and mental lapses. Chillicothe's full court press is very impressive as well.

Both teams played outstandingly and agressively. It was a full house in the gym and made for a great opening night of basketball.

The Unioto boys are going to be tough to beat this year. As for the coach not subbing, Chillicothe is a very talented team and can score quick. Chillicothe was keeping their starters in the game, so Unioto did the same to avoid a comeback. This group of 8th graders went undefeated as 7th graders. Good Luck the rest of the season.

Southeastern 8th grade beat Paint Valley 59-31 1st half Southeastern missed 10 layups and was up only 12. In the 3rd Southeastern came out and was up 30 at the end of the 3rd. Tyler Cartee and Dylan Miles both had around 18 points. Southeastern 7th grade also won 50-39. Southeastern plays Chillicothe tomorrow @ SE and Monday against Unioto @ Unioto. Two very big games coming up for the panthers.

Southeastern 7th grade beat Chillicothe 39-37. Southeastern 8th grade lost 46-48. Panthers were led by Dylan Miles with 19 and Jake Skeens with 17. Chillicothe was led by Chris London who easily had 20+ points. Southeastern who was up the whole entire game was done two and had three great shots with 18 seconds to go but they just woudn't fall. Both were very good games.

Southeastern played @ Unioto tonight Southeastern 7th grade lost 32-40. Southeastern lost in 2OT 46-49. Southeastern was lead by Dylan Miles 26+. Unioto was lead by Nick Corcoran who had 17.

Southeastern played @ Huntington tonight. 7th grade- Southeastern won by 15 dont remember the score though. 8th grade- Southeastern won by 4 39-35 not the prettiest win for the Panthers but we will take it. Leading Southeastern with 16 points was Dylan Miles and Jake Skeens with around 10 or 12. Southeastern plays a tough Zane Trace Pioneers this coming Monday @ SE.

Southeastern played Adena tonight. Southeastern 7th grade lost in a close game don't remember the score. Southeastern 8th grade won 46-13.

On saturday the 18th Southeastern played Zane Trace. Southeasterns 7th grade lost to a very tough Zane Trace team. Southeastern 8th grade won in overtime 38-37. Leading Southeastern was Dylan Miles with 20 and Jake Skeens with 10.

Monday Southeastern played Piketon. Southeastern 7th grade beat Piketon pretty easily. Southeastern 8th grade lost 33-35. Leading Southeastern was Dylan with 16 and Jake Skeens with 13.

Southeastern 8th grade played Western in the Southeastern Christmas Shootout this morning. Southeastern won 44-39 im pretty sure. Jake Skeens led scoring with 19 Dylan Miles had 16. Southeastern was able to play all 14 players. Western really couldn't handle Southeasterns speed.

Portsmouth Jr. High 7th & 8th grade also played in the Southeastern Christmas Shootout.
PJHS 7th Grade won 84-13 v. Miami Trace 7th grade
PJHS 8th Grade won 43-35 v. Miami Trace 8th grade

PJHS 7th grade is undefeated 6-0
PJHS 8th grade is 5-1 with their only loss to Ironton.

Unioto will play at home against Piketon Monday evening; 7th grade at 5:00 with 8th grade at 6:15. Should be a great game!!

Unioto will then play Southeastern next Wednesday at SE, same times 5:00 and 6:15, this too should be another great game!!
