1/27 Vinton Co. @ Nelsonville-York
Thoughts?
Vinton Co. looks like a focused team group since the whooping they took at the hands of Zane Trace last Saturday. Coach Kight is finally getting his team more prepaired an focused in practice.

Nelsonville-York got its first conference win of the season with a 48-34 win over Vinton County at Ben Wagner Gymnasium. Star freshman Angela Meade scored 18 points to lead the Lady Buckeyes, which improve to 4-11 overall and 1-4 in the TVC-Ohio.

Rumor on the street is that NY is winning games with mediocre talent and superior coaching.
Re: 1/27 Vinton Co. @ Nelsonville-York
I wouldn't say that--from watching them this past week they have a lot of young talent with a very good coach that will make them better.PitStop Billy wrote:Rumor on the street is that NY is winning games with mediocre talent and superior coaching.

Noreply, quit trying to entertain these idiots, the are parents of older kids who can't find the floor because they are over weight and can't run the floor. Coach Dalton has done a fine job and her kids play hard.

This season's "talented" team from the 4 freshmen thru the 2 seniors skills hav improved, work ethic is nothing less than 110%, everytime they step on the hardwood their game play is steppn up. R u askn why that is.........simple......Coach Dalton!!!!! Her knowlenge, expierence & most of all, love for the game, will b absorbed by her players. She's giving the girls alot of challengies & goals to work for that i blieve they will all accept & achieve!!!PitStop Billy wrote:Rumor on the street is that NY is winning games with mediocre talent and superior coaching.
Dont use the word "mediocre" unless it is directed towards the boys program which your a Assistant Coach

I can see this coach hanging many t.v.c. championship banners in Ben Wagner!PitStop Billy wrote:Rumor on the street is that NY is winning games with mediocre talent and superior coaching.
Re: 1/27 Vinton Co. @ Nelsonville-York
That's how it works lazy seniors or juniors who don't work in season or off season get no time while talented freshman work hard and get the time, so the upper classman's parents want to cry about it. It's nice to see Coach Dalton has the guts to put the best five on the floor and not play politics and give in to parents. This year of experience will go far in helping those young players develope and win lots of ball games in the future. Great young team and Great young Coach.

I agree greatone. Coach Dalton gets paid to win games....no matter her players age or last name.....period!!! If your daughter, no matter her age, is one of the five on the floor contributing to that success then thats her reward for the dedication & all the hard work she puts in. On the other hand, the players that dont get as much court time as they would like, use that as a motivational tool, push yourself beyond your limits in every aspect of practice. Work hard at everything Coach Dalton asks of you & the results will be hard to overlook. Every coach wants a bench full of talented players that, it doesnt matter what five is playing, they all are at the top of their game. GO LADY BUCKS
