When Wood had a no hitter in the sixth the bullpen was asleep.
When Dusty visited the mound, he didn't have anyone up and throwing.

I'm of the belief that once the 6th inning starts, you get a guy up and have him starting to loosen in the pen. I don't care who is on the mound, or what the box score says.

You have to be prepared for a starter to get hit once he starts his 3rd time through.

A starting pitcher has to give up about 6 runs before Baker will take them out. How many times have we watched him let the game get out of hand in the 1st inning because he won't take his starter out? It took the announcers questioning him to get Heisey some playing time. I like Gomes but if you got a guy hitting the ball like Heisey who can also field better it is a no brainer sit the guy batting 166.
