Not to pee on your parade but the Patriots are waiting on your guys.

That's right. Waiting on our guys, not yours. ;-)

That's the beauty of being a Browns fan. We keep getting kicked in the teeth and come back for more!

The most faithful fans in the NFL are Browns fans! Anyone can follow a winner. Try having a decade like we've had the last ten years and lets see you post HOW BOUT THEM STEELERS!

GO BROWNS!

Steelers suck?  What's that say for your Clowns then? Not our fault the Clowns front office can't deliver a winner.

Really? Really? That is what you have to offer, in terms of an opinion, as to why you dislike Pittsburgh so much? I never thought that I'd hear "because" rationale out of you, as that is basically what you are offering up here.

I intentionally didn't respond to the thread about when I started supporting my team, as frankly, that's my business. I will say this, I've been a Steelers fan nearly my entire life, which now spans six decades, and the reason is, just like you, that is the team that would be on TV every weekend, based on where I grew up. Four TV stations out of Pittsburgh, well, that has a tendency to influence who you support, and I'll leave it at that.

And I've been a Chargers fan my entire life, as that was the city where I was born, and raised, until my family moved to Ohio. Even post merger, I'm still a fan. The Norv Turner debacle just makes me ill, almost as much as the separation of Marty Schottenheimer from that organization.

No crocodile tears out of me, I wish the Browns and the Bungles were better, as I miss the rivalries. I admire the constitution of Browns fans, for having the persistency to continue to support a franchise (and I quote you), that has "sucked" for so long.........

Suffering makes the bonds stronger. No one would dare think a Cubs fan would say anything positive about St. Louis. When the Buckeyes were under the cloud of St. John Cooper, I don't think one OSU fan ever had anything but hatred for Michigan. Be proud we still hate the Steelers. I'd personally like to hate the Ravens more than I do for obvious reasons but the number one enemy is still Pittsburgh. Things change through the course of time and someday the Browns will be the equal or the better of the Steelers. One day that itch for me will be scratched and it will be sweet indeed! So put us down; you have every bragging right for now. But not one of us will EVER be turned.

WAR, I would bet that if you would interview 1,000 people in the parking lot outside of Heinz Field on Gameday, that those fans would offer the same response I did.....in reverse!

I've even heard them take the old Drew Carey Show theme song, "Cleveland Rocks," and make it say exactly that same refrain.

Since when does any fan need an intelligent reason to hate a rival? You ever been to an Ohio State-Michigan football game?

I said, Pittsburgh sucks!.. The name in front of sucks is interchangable and has been said by sports fans long before I was born.

And as for how long MY team has sucked, compared to the very standard that they set long before the Steelers started winning (50s-60s) everything they have done since 1970 would be called sucking by comparison to that standard.

In fact, since you are such a loyal Steeler fan you must remember that prior to 1970, the late, great ART ROONEY was called, "The Loveable Loser" by people who loved him dearly. Such was the state of pro football in Pittsburgh in those pre 1970 days.

A little nitpicky for so early arent you, but then it IS Monday, so fire away! My words are my opinion as yours are yours. Im sure you dont feel the need to defend your opinions, but apparently you feel the need to challenge my right to mine.
GAHS - Honestly, I respect your opinion, and agree with what you have to say the vast majority of the time. And yes, I certainly remember the wasteland in Pittsburgh prior to 1970, so yes, there were definitely hard times for the "Loveable Losers" prior to the arrival of Bradshaw, Green, Ham, Lambert, Holmes, Greenwood, Blier, Harris, et al.

Like I said in my prior post, I want to see the Ohio franchises improve, to increase the level of competition within the division, and give the rivalries more meaning.

I guess that you saying "Pittsburgh sucks" carries the same meaning as me saying "Michigan sucks", which is the only team, pro or college, that I will use that term to described, because I really dislike the U of M. Can't say that I dislike any pro team that much. I guess using your logic, and substituting Michigan for Pittsburgh, I understand why you say it, but, I don't have to agree or like it.

That's OK, too. I can live with you saying my team sucks, with their playoff record and six Super Bowl rings
