The jump ball being changed to the possession arrow after the initial jump in the game. Still jump ball to begin overtimes. Still jump ball in the NBA.

Adding a 3rd ref.

Coaches box and bench rules even though some push the limits on that.

Free throws instead of all being 1 and 1 if not shooting if it reaches the next limit being 2 shots.

Just a few off the top of my head.

the trash talking which started in the 80's, got worse in the 90's , now being cool and being "seen" is as important as winning.

GAHS I have a set of drinking glasses from the 60s that has all them guys in the pictures autographs on them. I bouht them a a yard sell about 15 years ago.

When did they start wearing a t-shirt under their uniforms????? I think it started around the Patrick Ewing era. Another addition to the looks of a player is the requirement to have 15 tattoos, at least they dont have the sailor tattoos with pictures of their mom in the middle of a heart. I think Dennis Rodman is the one responsible for the ink on the body.

And one for you GAHS, if they had uniforms when you played like they have today, with the length of the pants you could have worn them on Saturday nite to play in and then you could have worn them to church on Sunday cause I know they would have hung to your ankles...

With the old style lane, we got the term "top of the key".

Also, back in the day, you wore an even number for home games and an odd number for road games, at least at my school we did.

Home unis were white and road unis were dark.

Add to the list arguing with officials over non-calls or calls or even pleading a case to get future calls. Players today argue everything someimtes to a point of allowing the other team to get out in transition while they are trying to lobby officials. At one time that would have been an easy technical and most generally a seat next to the coach for a spell especially if the lobbying resulted in an easy bucket for the opposition. My first memories of this on a regular basis were Magic and Isiah Thomas.

Also, looking cool is important as noted but to a point of not making an effort to defend on plays when very little chance of creating a disruption enough to make a player miss a shot. All in an attempt to not get posterized or to make an attempt to not get embarrassed. Raher than playing hard to the whistle even win the odds of making the play are against the defender. This is obvious from HS to the NBA.

Accepting failure on plays is also common place and very few, maybe 1%, of players become upset with the outcome or take responsibility for their actions, especially on a regular basis. Again this is from HS to the NBA and mostly in the HS game.
