Warren Baseball 2011

Post by 32, 16, 6 »

Ok, here it is, Cap N Scoop go to it. Coach Farr is primed and ready for another year. Who's back, who's gonna hit, throw, and run like lightning? Only one problem, one leaves several to move up. Where you gonna put'em all at?

Its an issue that every coach hates to address but coach Farr will sort it out. As for pitching this year on varsity Tyler Proctor and Dakota Douglass should be 1,2 as for 3,4 it could be a soph in the mix as well as a jr. Hitting wow Proctor .500, Kern .412 Pettit, Giffin, Knost, Ward, Henthorn, Douglass all hit somewhere between .318 and .385, and a couple others close behind. Good contact hitting team. We can always use more speed but I'll take smart baserunners at this level. If we have any suprise players coming out that might add to the depth of talent it will be even more interesting. But if some juniors want to see the field they may have to stay on the JV team to sharpen their skills. Anybody that can pitch with consistancy has a shot at Varsity. Lets hope the sun always comes out the whole season and not just tommorrow.

You can have the wind too. I miss my lawn chair, the sun, and baseball. Best of luck to all, hope the ticket prices, pay to play and rain doesn't mess up the fun. GO BLUE!

Hey news from the hot stove league; 2 Cuban exchange students enroll at Warren so they can be closer to their older brother that plays for the Reds. Also hear that 18 freshmen have been coming to conditioning and the total number of players out is somewhere between 38 to 45 . Cant wait to see the new treads for this season, I hear there pretty sharp. Im tired of this weather so Ill throw another log in the stove. Lets get the lawn chairs dusted off and order a 50 pound bag of salted peanuts to keep Landons dad busy this season. Players get your gloves oiled up and your spikes shined up, because this is going to be an exciting season. GO WARRIORS AND THE BOYZ IN BLUE . ;-)

Warren has around 40 kids trying out. Lets hope things start drying out so the kids can play ball.

New uniforms are pretty sharp!!!! First scrimmage is tomorrow at 11:00 (I think) at Fort Frye. It will be a good chance for the boys to stretch their legs... Come up to "The Fort" and support your boys in Blue... Should be a nice day for baseball.

Good game boys in blue. Go Warriors. Where was Myers for Portsmouth? Good hitting by Ward and Proctor I think they had 9 rbi's between them and 6 of the seven hits. Warren 11 - Portsmouth 1 5inn.
