D2 Sectional Championship #3 Jackson vs #2 Unioto 2/19

Great game by Jackson. So many teams focus their entire defense on Driggs, allowing other Unioto players to get going offensively. Driggs had an off day shooting, and Jackson didn't allow anyone else to get rolling. Really enjoyed watching #14 play for Jackson. Plays well beyond her years. Good luck to Jackson the rest of the season.

Also, I was proud to see the fire in the eyes of the Unioto seniors until the end. Never gave up. Was a season of "what could have been" with Mackenzie's injury and even Tori's. Lady Shermans have a lot to be proud of, nothing to be ashamed of.

Just going by the radio it sure seemed like Unioto forced up a lot of quick shots.

Unioto has a lot of classy fans and their team had a great year...congrats!

Great season for the Lady Shermans, especially after losing Mak so early and still coming back to win the SVC. Nothing to hang your heads about, just lost to a better team today. Good luck to Jackson on the rest of their tournament run!

Good Luck to Janae at Cedarville, Maddie at Kent, and Mak at Morehead State! That's a special group of seniors that are all going on to play a sport in college.

Well in that case MOF....she doesn't lose district semis either.....did she make the regionals all 4 years in HS? If I remember correctly Eastern Brown + 2 Austrailans knocked her out in the regionalsl finals her senior year???

98-99 lost in district finals (Whiteoak may have beaten them this year)
99-00 lost in regional finals to Berlin Hiland
00-01 lost in district finals to Fairfield Union
01-02 lost in regional finals to Eastern Brown (year she tore her ACL)

Whiteoak lost to Eastern Pike in the district semis that year I believe.

FU was a D3? Seemed like they always were D2....guess not? Seems like Jackson and Beth Howe defeated FU the year we went to the regionals......2000-2001?

98,99, and 00 our girls were in division 4 and Fairfield Union was division 3 for a couple of years.

MOF,Who was the Lady Oaks coach prior to Hale? I know Karstens coached the year he was out in 04-05.Thanks!

Scott Cayton coached them during the Jamie Lewis years, then Hale took over in 97-98, Carstens coached in 04-05 and Hale came back the next year.

Oak Hill was up in that game against Fairfield Union then Anna rolled her ankle in the second half.

I was curious who it was...I thought Doug had been there a lot longer than 97-98,but heard he wasn't.Anna is an awesome coach too...And she has a better team than most think.I saw these girls play against Chilly a couple years ago as jv's and you wouldn't believe the progress they have made...
