NBA Trade Deadline

Post by gymrat88 »

Anybody have any thoughts on the trades that occured within the last few days? New York definitely helped their cause. The Boston trade is baffling to me.

The Celtics made a lot of moves that left not much at center. Unless the Shaq and Jermaine can get healthy and contribute. There was talk that Perkins was wanting more money than what the Celtics were wanting to pay. Perkins also has health problems. I do like Green as a player now and for the future. The getting rid of players some are thinking that Danny Ainge is going to get someone off waivers to help.

The Lakers did not make a trade. With all going on with Dwight Howard and the Magic it could have been a good time to get him. While getting rid of Bynum with a better replacement. As well as getting rid of some underachieving players.

I liked Perkins. I also liked Bernie Kosar. Could the Celtics have known more about his physical ability than was let on? Until his moves prove a disaster, I have to give the benefit of the doubt to Danny Ainge. Besides, that pick from the Cavs will certainly be a lottery pick, whatever year it may be for.
