But the drive is worth it after a win 4ever, especially this far north. I'd like to see you guys pick up Sheridan again for a home & home. I was on the Sheridan sidelines for the playoff game a few years back @ memorial stadium and those last two games @ Gallipolis and in Thornville and they were all good games. New turf was installed and both home and away bleachers were renovated this year so it's essentially a new stadium. Mention that to the powers that be and maybe they will call Coach Culver and set up some more games for the future. (Trivia: Coach Paul Culver was from Pomeroy originally and coached @ Trimble in the 70's before going to Sheridan).

Good rebound win for GAHS. Defense looked solid. Offense still trying to find its stride.
Denison Univ. football staffers were on hand scouting a GAHS offensive lineman and said they liked a few other GAHS players, too.

So many geat plays in this game. The very nice adjust by Justin Bailey while ball was in air and then leaping in front of a sure pick for the 20yd gain was impressive to say the least.

Brandon Taylor ran so hard tonight carrying guys forward, I can't recall a single play that he was hit and went backwards at least 2 yeards after contact on every run.

Defensive game plan was dead on.

So many players made great plays, Ed and others sured up middle of field, Young,Warnimount and others did nice job of sealing ends. the swarming to the ball ws nice.

They were much more athletic team and bigger than we were, to hold them to 7 points was nice. Just wait and see how many they score next week against thier next opponent.

And as I said last Week Athens ws the real deal and i won't be suprised to see them at 10-0 at reg season end.

Good win for GA. Hopefully, it will give us some confidence to build upon. We sill need to improve. We're not the team we need to be to have the kind of season we want to have yet. Don't be satisfied.

This game went a bit more like I expected. I really thought us pounding between the tackles wore LH down in the 4th quarter. The holes got a little bigger and the pressure on the QB was better as the second half wore on. Guisinger and Taylor were particularly impressive tonight. Guisinger had 4 tackles on LH's first drive showing them that they weren't going to be able to run between the tackles and they practically abandoned it the rest of the game. Taylor had just over 100 yards rushing and I'd say half of them were after first contact. He ran hard with great balance. Being able to run the ball opened some room to throw the ball a bit and Jarrell did a nice job keeping them honest.

I've been critical of the coaches in the past for not adjusting in game or not having a gameplan designed around our strengths. Let me be the first to say that they did a fantastic job adjusting after last week. The full house, two TE package along with the package putting the extra lineman in the backfield were both something I didn't expect. They play to our strengths well.

Big game next week. I'm surprised that Wellston won last night after seeing them against Jackson last week.

I must have underestimated GA and Athens! Could be a long season for the hornets! I thought they would be better with how much they had coming back.

We controlled possesion by running 62 plays to LH's 42. A text book way to beat a team with more speed than you have.

I'm surprised that I have not seen a post about seniors getting in free at LH. Its a MSL policy. At least in the MSL Cardinal division. I can't get a discount in Gallipolis because I don't live in the county. A discount would help defray the cost of a 97 mile one way trip.

"A discount would help defray the cost of a 97 mile one way trip." Hey Pappy, if I had anything to do with granting discounts you would be the first to get one... We need more fans like yourself.....
