I admit that I don't know much about who GAHS is returning this year and I won't make any predictions until I do my research. I do know that Athens will take a very good running attack and a QB with little passing experience into the game and expect to see lots of ground yard gained between the two teams. Good luck to both teams on hopefully a competitive and injury free game.

gallia academy will have one of the best offensive and defensive lines in southern ohio, and a few good running backs, the secondary and qb spots could be a little shakey

ill take gallia 27-15

The quarterback, Josh Skinner, is having a great preseason. Played very well in place of injured Trey Harris last year, and has always played quarterback. If Athens has any real question marks it will be with inexperienced line play. Today they destroyed a very weak Morgan team in a scrimmage. Athens has the best back in the area, and best linebacker also. If they stay away from injuries, (of course that is always a big if) they will have a good year.

I agree that Josh played well in place of Trey last season but they didn't throw the ball nearly as much with Josh pulling the trigger. Josh appears to be more athletic than Trey while running the option but I still think Trey throws the ball a little better, but Josh is just about to begin his Junior season and has time to grow into a better passer. I had a prior obligation today and wasn't able to make the Morgan scrimmage but from what I hear Athens looked very good.

IMHO The lines are where GA is weak, along with speed or lack there of?
The defensive line was hit hard by graduation,
i see this game as a toss up Athens prob has the best or one of the best running backs in southern ohio.

Hopefully Athens running back with go North/South and not try to be fancy going east/west. If he goes North/South no one can catch him when he gets free. Plus he has to stay healthy which has been a problem. He had a leg or foot injury that kept him out of a lot of basketball and I believe all of track. Skinner will be better the Harris even at the passing game because he can see over people. Should be a great year for the Bulldogs is they can stay healthy. Go Bulldogs.

We wouldn't expect anything less! GAHS is a team I look forward to playing and I hope we can keep this series alive for years to come.

Blue_nd_Gray.....i belive the d-line only lost 1 player to graduation and bryan williams will fill that spot nicely ..... Guisinger ,Barr ,Gragg ,Tackett are all returning it definately should be a strength not a weakness

I actually think Williams is playing ILB. Scottie Warren started at NT on Sat. at the scrimmage and they rotated several players through. The D-line looked very impressive against a P-West team that is supposed to have a strong O-line.

I've seen both, but he played mostly at LB at the scrimmage.

I think they're trying him some at end so that he doesn't have to read and react as much and can just attack and use his athleticism until he adjusts to the speed of the game a bit. Either way, he's a fantastic athlete. Heard that Pullins broke his ankle Sat. and will be out for the year. That should give Brian more time at FB if not the bulk of the playing time.

yea he has gotten by. by just being an animal reading the guard has been a problem from the start. now he is playing with the big boys and we will se what he has to offer to the varsity. playing fullback is news also he thought he was just on defense oh well cant wait to see the blue go full go.
