Not too bad of a winter sports season for the Buckeyes. Basketball team wins a Sectional Championship and is off to the Convo for the second time in three years. The wrestling team won the Division III District Championships for a second year in a row.

And to think that we are a football school! :122245

Nelsonville-York vs Valley on the basketball court? Who woulda of thunk it ... I thought they were on a collision course - on the gridiron - this past fall ... Funny how things work out sometimes.

this will be a good game. Don't count Nelsonville out though i think kline can guard yates and thats valleys whole offense and if cox gets hot watch out Valley! Nelsonville by 5

We heard you the first few times....

You don't know a thing about Valley if you think that Yates in the entire offense. Blake makes the Indians go, but there is a lot of talent and length in the rotation for the Indians.

Valley is 17-4 and all their losses are to teams that have won Sectional Championships.

Zane Trace (D3)
Ironton (D3)
Waverly (D2)
South Webster (D4)

I think Valley is on a mission and this is another step. The game is close at halftime, but the Indians pull away late in the 3rd and early in the 4th.

Valley 61
Nelsonville 47

Obviously doesn't know much about Valley. I hope the whole Nelsonville York team is just as educated about Valley, but i'm sure the Buckeye coaches will have their team ready and alot more educated than just having to guard 1 guy (Yates). But it was comical :aaaaa8

Assuming Kline guards Yates as you said, who will NY put on everyone else? Correct me if I'm wrong, but NY's main rotation features 2 guys at 6'4" (one of those being Klein) and another guy at 6'2"? So, if one of your 6'4" guys is going to man our 6'3" PG (smallest starter), will the other 4 guys from NY play a zone (Box & 1) or will they actually try to man us? Either way, I truly believe its going to take Valley laying an absolute egg in order for NY to pull the upset. Just as in Valley's match-ups with Minford, I think NY has a solid team but the Indians have too many weapons, too much length and too many athletes in this one.

Heck boys may want to just turn in the uniforms. They are taller can't beat that. . Could save fuel also being this game is obviously already over valley won.

This would be the best option...to be honest.

Good choice! I'm glad we all agree! After all, Valley being taller is the only thing any of us have talked about. Nobody mentioned that the Indians were athletic and balanced. It's all about the height advantage baby!!!

WHO KNOWS?
Valley better play better basketball than they did against Webster (loss by 10pts) the Indians didn't exactly shine the last couple weeks of the season and not sure the 3rd win over Minford convinced me that they are for real?

That said Neslonville played the best game of their season against River Valley in their last game, but they can play down as well. I think this could be a good game.
IMHO Nelsonville has 1 true Guard, Cox the others are role players and not threats against a taller lineup or great defensively.
Also Nelsonville's bigs are athletic but not physical at all.

Valley SHOULD win this one 57-44

Valley at Waverly -- Indians lost on a buzzer beater to a D-2 team that is playing for a district title.
Valley at SW -- Not taking anything away from Webster, but Valley already had the #4 seed and the OUTRIGHT SOC 2 title LOCKED up...and just didnt play fired up hoops. Lethargic and went through the motions. Oh, SW is still playing and also has a GREAT player in Leeroy Jenkins.
Valley vs Minford -- beating a good team 3X isnt easy, but in 3 games Valley beat Minford by 14, 15, and 16. The Falcons are a decent team and it was a sectional title game...so we'll take that.
