Cleveland Indians 2012
Re: Cleveland Indians 2012
Good post Dave.... Lowe was let go yesterday... Damon, Duncan, Kotchman & Lopez should be cut loose anytime soon.... I am starting to loose faith in Acta's ability to manage at a major league level.... How can he say we are in a pennant race and then leave a starting pitcher in who has given up 7 runs or more in the game???? Washington let Acta go and now I can understand why.. Plus he show no emotion doing a game... Manning made the comment that Acta has never been thrown out of a game this year.... Didn't even stick up for Jack H in New York.... Bring up the guys from Columbus, they can't do much worse.....

This was the season the front office said they had built for, while most fans knew this was a joke some believed it.
Now the same front office is claiming that the team will now compete in 2013.
I SAY THIS IS A BIGGER JOKE.

You hit the nail on the head NCF.... Now management is saying lets bring up the young kids and see what they can do... Have you noticed the trend that the young kids play pretty good the first year with the tribe but as time goes on they seem to get worse.. Example Santana, Kipnis, Hanrahan.... Have you noticed the players we have picked up recently.... Players that have cleared waivers meaning players that no one wants.... I guarantee we will get more of this type of player... I am no Laporta fan but last year didn't he hit around .260 and we sent him down, now we have starters batting .220 or worse and are starting... The owner needs to sell the team and get some people in that understand the game and can judge major league talent...

Well I finally given up, after tonight's woodshed beating against the motor city kitty's, time to stick a fork in them they are done.

The front office is a joke.
The farm system for the most part is back at the 70's talent level overall.
The organization as a whole has been taken back there, and with the these guys moving up in the front office and not being fired will keep this orgaization going downhill.
Until the team is sold to a group who has money to spend Cleveland will stay a baseball joke.

Its a shame, they should have money to spend especially next year when some of these players come off the book and isn't the owner related to the owner of the Rangers and Knicks, that family has plenty of money, but I know the owners don't like to spend their own money.

What a fall by the Tribe after the All-Star break........we were 44-41 at the break, in second place........now, after last night's loss to Minnesota, the Wahoo's are tied for last place.........I don't think I can remember an Indians team that has tumbled that much in the standings in just a half a season.
Good to see the Indians bring up Russ Canzler.......he has a nice stick.......and Lonny Chisenhall is back as well, hitting a HR vs. the Twins last night.
I look for the 2013 Indians to have quite a different look, with major roster changes and most likely some different people in the front office.
