Former league foes , just one of the reasons athens bailed to a smaller league. Should be a close game as it used to be, with the Warriors winning.

Haha... Can't wait to laugh at this dumb comment after this Friday night. Hard to believe people are still bitter about Athens leaving the ever-diminishing SEOAL for an ever-growing league that embraced them arms wide open. Get over it already.

Looks like another shoot-out between two outstanding signal callers.

They are callin' for showers Friday night, so the field will be nothing but mud!
Oh Wait, those days are long gone...

However, Mother Nature will still cause problems Friday Night...
The Field Turf will be slick...
The Pigskin will be hard to hold onto...
Limit Turn Overs and Make Fundamental Tackles...

Last Week, Warren squared off with former SEOAL member Marietta getting their first 'W' on the early season...
Last Week, Athens travelled to Watkins Memorial and won a shoot-out with Offense at a premium to earn their first 'W'...

This game Friday will be one by the Defense who can make the most stops/ force a turnover or two...
Both teams will score, but it will be the team whose Defense and/or Special Teams that makes a BIG PLAY...

If Either Team has hopes of playing in Week 11...this Game is a Must WIN...

I will take Athens by no more than 10, but I have a feeling it will be less than 6........That new turf at Athens may get worn out this Friday night!

Should be plenty of points in this one, if either team can find a defense they should win but this one has track meet written all over it. I'll take Athens strictly because they are at home. Athens 52-49.

The box score in the Marittea times last week had Leffingwell going 4-of-9 passing for the game? That can't be correct, right?

Warriors are running some Wing-T this year. They have a stable of backs but fewer receivers than the last couple of years.

My stats had Leffingwell as 14-22 for 122 yards with 2TDs and 1 INT from Friday night.

The offense the Warriors are running this year is much more like what Holder ran at Belpre than a true Wing T---you usually have one wide receiver on one side and one wing and tight end on the other---with 2 backs behind an under center QB----rarely or never in the I. They come out in trips and doubles and gun also but not nearly as much as you used to see.
