West is in desperate need of a passing game. They have some incredible athletes. If only they can get them to move the ball through the air, they will be a force to be reckoned with.

We have a passing game. Evidently game plan tonight was go bigger on oline and grind it out. Very skeptical after first couple drives, but it worked in the end

Nice to see the "W". Not sure why West doesn't utilize the high powered offense?
In the next few weeks just grinding it out isn't going to be enough.

Agree. We went with more beef tonight and we ran the ball much better. But it won't be enough against minford, valley, or burg. Have to chuck it some

They could be a High Powered offense.....they have the athletes to make it happen. Rather than pound it until you stop them, get your athletes out in the open field where they can actually do something.
We will see the next 2 weeks...
BTW speaking of High Powered Offense......The Burg is on FIRE!!!

Not a fan, just a local supporter. Not a lash out neither, anyone who knows him knows he’s not a high powered offense guy

West has the potential to become a high powered offense, but that also requires to keep defenses off-balanced. Running the ball up the middle every play is not going to achieve this. We need to start throwing the ball on first or second down and not in obvious passing situations. I think Irwin throws a pretty good ball and has the potential to become a good quarterback. He actually reminds me of Ratliff when he started his sophomore year. We just need to open the playbook a little more and our offense would be fine. All of this of course is just my opinion.
