Piketons schedule does give them the opportunity to win quite a few ball games. The teams on their schedule where they will have to play very well to win is Minford, games they can win, but cannot hurt themselves are Paint Valley, and Zane Trace. The rest of the schedule is wide open, if they Streaks play up to their capabilities, they can win them. Piketon is very inexperienced up front on both sides of the ball and they showed. Valleys O line is pretty good and was getting to the 2nd level on their blocks. Piketons O line barely made it to the 2nd level and Valleys speed and aggressiveness at LB's and Safetys closed quickly. Piketon does have several weapons on offense, being guided by a Soph in Devon Brewster at QB, Jeremy Farmer 6'4" 230 lb multi purpose back has soft hands and is a load. Sr. Bivens is Piketons speed in the backfield, and Soph Fremder gives them power back there. Thacker, Collier, Southworth and Jordan give them very capable targets to throw to.

Like I said, Valley has 12 seniors and several others who played last season, Piketon has 4 kids who saw the field for the Streaks last year, growing pains are to be expected! lol

It's always great to read about how the team is progressing. Scrimmages are good but I don't put much stock in the them. It may give you a small reading on overall individual/team performance and how kids respond to game-like situations but not much else can be determined, IMO. Anyway, thanks for the updates. How deep are the Indians this year? What are some of the positions that the team is lacking in depth should the injury bug hit? The last two years has shown the Indians getting stronger as the year progressed. I expect the same this year.

For the young men playing the game: Have a great year, enjoy the ride, play every down as if it were your last, but above all, go out and have fun playing the game! The memories are lasting and most will never experience the same level of camaraderie in adult life!

Thank you sir! I love seeing Soph's getting game time with the upper classmen #1s! I believe it is key in keeping the program solid, especially for the smaller schools!
