Anybody who will dump the west coast offense and a defensive coordinator who will keep the 4-3 intact,I wouldn't mind seeing Childress getting a shot though he might keep the west coast around, but he had some good years with the Vikings and was very close to reaching the super bowl.

Lovie Smith wins 10 and gets canned. He would be high on the list. I'd pay high dollar for an asst. coach who can develop a QB.

Childress is the biggest dumb ass to every stand on the sidelines. The Vikings paid all kind of money for an aging hall of fame QB and this moron lines him up at wide receiver to block in a pre season game. If not for Childress the Vikings would have a Superbowl Championship. The Browns don't want this clown. Not sold on Saban as a pro coach either after he bailed on my Dolphins.Bill Cowher Would be the best choice I think. He is a proven winner in the NFL.

I hope Nik Sabin can turn it around in a hurry. He has a good group of young rookies to work with now just bring in a little exspierence to help and the Browns will be back.

Plain Dealer says Chip Kelly is the first choice. Banner and Haslam wants to hire the coach first and then the GM. Tell me if this sounds like Butch Davis all over again to you?

The first big rumor in the Browns' coaching search has surfaced, and the Browns are apparently targeting Oregon's Chip Kelly to be their new head coach.

SportsNation: Chip Kelly's Future
Chip Kelly's name has come up in a number of situations related to open NFL head coaching jobs. Will he leave Oregon once the season is over?
Cast your votes!

Kelly is considered the "clear No. 1 choice" of the Browns, two high-ranking NFL personnel executives told Adam Caplan of Sirius XM radio.

This shouldn't come as a shocker because Kelly had been linked to the Browns even before they fired coach Pat Shurmur on Monday. Kelly has become an intriguing candidate for NFL teams after going 45-7 at Oregon with a high-tempo offensive attack. The biggest drawback with Kelly is his lack of NFL pedigree. He has never been involved in the league as a player or coach of any kind.

Since the owner was with the Steelers before I would not be surprised if he might go to Cards DC Ray Horton. Who had a great defense and little offense. He learned from Dick LeBeau. This could be a good move much like when Mike Tomlin came from out of nowhere to get the Steelers job. This is just a thought.

I am not sold on Chip Kelley reminds me of Bobby Petrino. Who not only failed but quit to run to Arkansas during the season. The NFL is a different game. Even Tampa Bay toward the end of the season players were getting tired of the college coaches. The Browns have been thur many different coaches since it's return.I hope they can turn it around.

No, wait! Breaking news! It's not Chip Kelly. Browns will re-boot their coaching search minus Kelly. It's anybody's guess now. I still like Lovie Smith with Norv Turner as OC.
