Can't put names out there, from what im hearing is 5 or 6 ,I know new Boston and Portsmouth got two good ones out of it
Re: 2017 East Tartans
I know of 1 really good 8th grader that's transferring too. His dad says the school is bad and lots of trouble there.
As far as the high school, Akia's dad got those kids to play there in grade school and he was the main reason the team was good. When he graduated they had to know it was over as far as winning.

And you are obviously trolls and don't have a clue what you are talking about.
Re: 2017 East Tartans
So your telling me that East's varsity football team lost 5-6 players that contribute to other schools?
Re: 2017 East Tartans
5 to 6 total from whatvi heard, two of them would have been good enough to play varsity at east as freshen yes,the one that is at new Boston will be a big hit for the basketball team and will most definitely make new,Boston that much better.
Re: 2017 East Tartans
I found the answer myself tonight. These were kids in junior and not high school. So let's get back to the current varsity football program.

Jr high last year, freshman this year?Blue33 wrote: Sat Jul 22, 2017 8:17 pm I found the answer myself tonight. These were kids in junior and not high school. So let's get back to the current varsity football program.
The one kid would have played varsity for east football, and the other basketball as freshman, so at least two i know would have been high school kids
Re: 2017 East Tartans
None of them would have made a bit of difference for this season. I couldn't name 4 or 5 kids that started varsity football as a freshman and made a huge difference impact in Scioto County in the last 20 years. With that said if you want to play the negative role go start your own thread. This one is to talk about the 2017 East Tartan football team. Knowing what each team in the conference has this year the top two are Oak Hill and East. East's O line will probably be the largest in the county and have a lot of game experience. They have a QB that can get it done and can run when he has to. They have multiple kids that can run the ball and a platoon of linebackers on D that will come after you. They play fast and aggressive. Let's revisit this topic around week 5..
Re: 2017 East Tartans
That's fine ,but I honesty think the 8th grade running back certainly could have been a difference maker on this team, but good luck ,I to think east should be able to handle the teams on the schedule for regular season.

Meigs and Eastern Meigs. And yes I agree as the scrimmage went on they seemed to play harder.
