In their first game without Erica Dawson, the Tigers played a very game game, but the trey shooting of the Robb girls(6) and Emily Puskarich(5), many from Dawson-like range, took over after Wheeling Park spotted Marietta a 6-0 lead as they missed maybe their first 10 shots of the game. All their points in the 2nd and 3rd qtrs came on FGs, 10 treys and 6 deuces! Marietta's last lead was at 18-14, after which WP went on a 12-0 run to take control. WP made a dozen treys in the game.

I understand that in the 4th qtr at Waterford she went down and in trying to break her fall with her right hand, her hand got broken. She went on to play into overtime before she fouled out with the Tigers in the lead.

I hate to hear of anyone getting hurt....especially a young and extremely talented high school athlete. If she can get back to full strength by the tournament it could be a blessing in disguise as others will be forced to step up.
