Congrats Athens. Great comeback by Miami Trace after being down 22 and getting it all the way down to 1 pt in the 4th with chances to take the lead but couldn't get over the hump. it sounded like Athens was feeling the pressure when MT kept cutting the lead. Cedric Pettiford fouling out with only a 2 pt deficit killed the Panthers because we had no inside presence that the Bulldogs had to worry about after that. MT had six straight posessions without scoring late in the 4th with the score around 3 and 4 pts.

even with all the seniors leaving for MT, this team may actually be better next year because we could have 4 brothers in the starting lineup with Cedric Pettiford, Marcel Pettiford, and their twin brothers, who are tremendous ball players, will be freshman next year. so, i wouldn't be surprised if MT makes it back to the district finals next year.

Congrats to Athens on their district title...also congrats to Miami Trace for a hard fought game.. to be down 22 in the first half and have Athens wondering if they can hold on was quite an accomplishment..it was a great game.. Athens seems to have one good half at the Convo...against Chilli it was the second half..against MT it was the first..they will need a complete game to go any further.. ain't no slouches left.. Good luck Dogs..

Athens/Warren rematch should be good. They can now settle the block/charge/no call by those guys from Glouster or where ever they are from. However the winner of this game will be running up to st Clairsville they are just way, way to tough.
