West could go anywhere between 5-5 to 9-1 with that schedule. There's some very formidable teams on that schedule and a few extremely weak OVC teams, which won't help with Wests' chances for the playoffs.

There are only 2 teams I see on the schedule that would be considered "weak" Fairland and Wellston...I don't see a bunch of weak OVC teams on the schedule. As far as Our schedule goes that's as tough as anyone in SOC2......

The only team that's been consistently bad lately is Wellston. Fairland always has athletes and have fielded a few good teams lately. Besides a get-well game or 2 isn't always bad.

Lots of Second Level Point opportunities on that schedule. And several playoff teams with contrasting styles to prepare you for the playoffs. 7-3 or better should get you in the playoffs with that schedule.

Heard from a coach at Raceland that the West/Raceland game is on. Sheldon Clark was supposed to play Raceland that week, but pulled out so Raceland contacted West and the game is on.

I have to agree about Fairland and Wellston. Even when Fairland makes the playoffs and wins the OVC they normally get thumped by their SOC opponents the same season.

Portsmouth may be better, should be better. But still not "stiff" competition.

Raceland normally fields a solid team. Competitive with Ironton here and there. Should yield a good amount of points since its a KY school.....IF West can win the game.

Well last year Wheelersburg played Ironton, Oak Hill, Portsmouth, Fairland, Jackson, and Coal Grove. Historically Ironton and Newark Catholic are a wash. Raceland is probably better than Oak Hill or at worst as good. Wellston versus Jackson; well no argument there. So yes Wheelersburg has a better schedule, but not that much better.

I think this is turning into which of the top dogs in southern Ohio have it the toughest...good thing is most play each other so that should settle it as usual...
