Stanton now has 51 home runs on the season, after hitting his 18th in just this month last night. 18 is tied for the most ever hit in August, and Sammy Sosa has the record for most home runs in a single month with 20, Stanton will have a chance to break that this month with 2 games left in August. First National League player with 50+ in a season since Prince Fielder in 2007.

Ever watched Stanton play? I love it, he doesn't just hit home runs that are fence scrapers, he hits mammoth shots.

He plays very well and is on a hot streak. Some hit a wall this time of year. Like Judge being benched. Sure doing well for the new ownership.

It appears that Stanton has really struggled since that home run derby too.
